Family Support and Training medically necessary services provided to a parent or other caregiver of a child to improve the capacity of the parent or caregiver to ameliorate or resolve the child's emotional or behavioral needs; provided, however, that such service shall be provided where the child resides, including in the child's home, a ▇▇▇▇▇▇ home, a therapeutic ▇▇▇▇▇▇ home, or another community setting. Freestanding Emergency Department - an outpatient emergency department that is both licensed and physically separate and distinct from a Hospital and provides Emergency Health Care Services as permitted by law. A Freestanding Emergency Department is not an off-site Hospital-based Facility or satellite emergency department of a Hospital. Freestanding Facility - an outpatient, diagnostic or ambulatory center or independent laboratory which performs services and submits claims separately from a Hospital. Gene Therapy - therapeutic delivery of nucleic acid (DNA or RNA) into a patient's cells as a drug to treat a disease. Genetic Counseling - counseling by a qualified clinician that includes: Genetic Testing - exam of blood or other tissue for changes in genes (DNA or RNA) that may indicate an increased risk for developing a specific disease or disorder, or provide information to guide the selection of treatment of certain diseases, including cancer. Gestational Carrier - a female who becomes pregnant by having a fertilized egg (embryo) implanted in her uterus for the purpose of carrying the fetus to term for another person. The Gestational Carrier does not provide the egg and is therefore not biologically related to the child. Hospital - an institution that is operated as required by law and that meets both of the following: Hospital-based Facility - an outpatient facility that performs services and submits claims as part of a Hospital.
