Field Trips for Chauffeurs and Educational Assistants. Chauffeurs and Educational Assistants will be paid for actual hours at their regular hourly rate plus $1.00 per hour when on field or activity trips for handicapped children. Chauffeurs and Educational Assistants on field trips on Saturday and Sunday will be paid time and one-half (1 ½) their regular hourly rate plus $1.00 per hour. Hourly payments for overnight field or activity trips shall exclude a minimum of eight (8) hours sleep time. Parking fees will be reimbursed upon presentation of an expense report accompanied by valid parking receipts. On a Chauffeur-driven field trip which requires an Educational Assistant, if the Chauffeur's regularly assigned Educational Assistant is absent, other Educational Assistants shall be eligible for the trip on a seniority basis provided the trip does not conflict with the regularly assigned duties of the Educational Assistant who bids on the trip. When Chauffeurs run field or activity trips that were posted on the field and activity trip posting board for Bus Drivers, they will be paid the field trip rate for Bus Drivers.

  • Training and Education SECTION 1 – Law Enforcement Supervisors’ Training

  • Educational Assistance Section 1. Tuition reimbursement shall be provided to employees covered by this collective bargaining AGREEMENT under the same terms and conditions, policies and procedures as the rest of Hennepin County and reflecting a county–wide pool for funding. See Hennepin County Tuition Reimbursement Policy Frequently Asked Questions Section 2. Where courses are required and certified by the appointing authority as essential to current job performance, such appointing authority shall grant 100% reimbursement for tuition, required fees and required study materials. Section 3. At the request of an employee, an Individual Development Plan shall be established. Any employee making the request shall be provided with paid time to work with their Supervisor or Human Resources to develop a training plan for career development within Hennepin County. Human Resources will be a source of career information, and postings, in which the employee may have an interest. Time allotted for this activity and the training plan adopted shall be subject to mutual agreement of the Employee and Supervisor.

  • Professional and Education Leaves (a) Leave of absence with pay or without pay may be granted to employees to attend professional and educational meetings, courses, or other events which may be judged beneficial to the employee's professional development, especially as it relates to her responsibilities with the Employer.

  • Distance Education 7.13.1 Expanding student access, not increasing productivity or enrollment, shall be the primary determining factor when a decision is made to schedule a distance education course. There will be no reduction in force of faculty (as defined in Article XXIII of this Agreement) as a result of the District’s participation in distance education. 7.13.2 Courses considered to be offered as distance education shall be defined in accordance with the Board of Governors’ Title 5 Regulations and Guidelines. Generally, this definition refers to courses where the instructor and student are separated by distance and interact through the assistance of communication technology (reference section 55370 of Title 5 California Code of Regulations). The determination of which courses in the curriculum may be offered in a distance education format, in addition to instructor/student contact requirements, shall be in accordance with the Title 5 California Code of Regulations.

  • Technical Assistance DFPS may provide informal support, guidance, clarification, and other forms of technical assistance via phone, email, and virtual meeting to resolve Grant or performance compliance issues. Grantee will document all such instances of technical assistance by DFPS in writing, including any implementation work.

  • Legal Assistance The Board shall give full support including legal and other assistance for any assault upon the employee while properly acting in the discharge of his/her duties.

  • General Education University Program Requirements All MTA applicable courses require a grade “C” or higher

  • Resident Educator A Resident Educator is a teacher employed under a resident educator license.

  • In-Service Education The parties recognize the value of in-service both to the employee and the Employer and shall encourage employees to participate in in-service. All employees scheduled by the Employer to attend in-service seminars shall receive regular wages.
