Flexible Instructional Days. The District may also utilize Flexible Instruction Days (FID) to the extent permitted by law and by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE). In the event a FID day is called by the District for inclement weather or another approved health or safety reason, teachers shall follow the two hour delay schedule designated by the Building Administrator, and all classes will be taught synchronously via Google Meet (or another virtual meeting platform approved by the Administration) with materials available on Canvas.

Flexible Instructional Days. Flexible instructional days (FIDs) enable students to receive instruction at home when hazardous weather or certain other conditions prevent school buildings from opening. The Association and AIU agree that the AIU may schedule and utilize FIDs in accordance with the Public School Code in AIU-operated schools. For schools/entities whose schedules are not under the purview of the AIU, Employees will follow FIDs as scheduled by those schools/entities.

Within each semester, activities referred to above shall be scheduled during contiguous weeks with the exception of spring break, if any.
