Flexing Sample Clauses

Flexing. A temporary modification of a basic or alternative schedule within a regularly scheduled workweek. The County may allow employees to modify their normal work hours within the workweek on an intermittent, temporary basis to make up for time lost due to illness, medical appointments or other instances allowed under the sick leave provisions of this agreement, compatible with the operating needs of the County. Daily overtime will be waived to accommodate these requests.

Flexing. For samples that are to be adhered to a flexible substrate, i.e. tarpaulin, the following shall apply: A specimen of the sample unit shall be subjected to a test as specified in Annex 17.
Flexing. With advance approval of the appropriate level of management (as determined by the department), employees may “flex” their schedules within a work week, for example working a nine (9) hour day followed by a seven (7) hour day to accommodate personal or work situations or to balance a holiday work week as described in Article 13.3.1

Flexing. For the purposes of this Agreement, the term "Flexing" is defined as having staffing levels at any station or location that are inadequate to allow both a fire suppression vehicle (engine, xxxxx, platform, ladder truck etc…) and a rescue vehicle (ambulance) to respond simultaneously from that station or location with minimum staffing as set forth in this Article. Xxxxxx County Fire-Rescue shall not operate in a "Flexing" mode with respect to fire suppression vehicles and/or rescue vehicles. Brush trucks and tankers are excluded, and may operate in "Flexing" mode.
