Form of Overtime Compensation. Compensation for overtime shall be in the form of pay. However, if the Employee chooses and the Employer agrees, overtime may be granted in the form of paid time off in lieu of overtime pay at a time mutually agreed by the Employer and the Employee.

Form of Overtime Compensation. The normal form of compensation for overtime worked will be time off at the appropriate overtime rate. Time may be taken in thirty (30) minute, hourly or full-day increments. The time off will normally be taken at a time agreed to by the Employer and the Employee within three (3) months of the overtime being worked. The time off may be taken later, if mutually agreed to in writing. If mutual agreement cannot be reached, overtime earned in one quarter shall be paid on the last pay date of the next quarter when the appropriate authorization is provided to the Human Resources department at least one week in advance of the pay date. The appropriate rate of pay will be the employee’s rate of pay at the time of payment. The quarters for this article are as follows: Start End January 1 March 31 April 1 June 30 July 1 September 30 October 1 December 31
