Forty (40) Hours per Week. An employee hired prior to September 1, 1997 and, who on February 28, 2007 was in one of the following job families and assigned a normal work week of forty (40) hours per week, shall not have his/her normal work week reduced from forty (40) hours per week as long as he/she remains in that position: - Operating Engineer - Caretaker - Food Service Worker - Clerk Supply - General Maintenance Worker - Skilled Trades Worker - Driver - Bus Driver - Security Guard. It is understood that this provision will not apply if the employee is the successful applicant for a position with fewer hours.

An employee hired prior to September 1, 1997, who as of that date is scheduled to work a normal work week of forty (40) hours per week, shall not have his/her normal work week reduced from forty (40) hours per week so long as he/she remains in one of the following job families: - Operating Engineer - Caretaker - Food Service Worker - Clerk Supply - General Maintenance Worker - Skilled Trades Worker - Driver - Bus Driver - Security Guard, unless the employee is the successful applicant for a job posting in one of these job families which has been posted specifying fewer hours.
