Full Workload a. The following shall be considered a full workload: From 18 to 22 ACEs. An employee who teaches a mass lecture shall be compensated with addi- tional ACEs equivalent to the number of semester hours of the course. Mass Lecture will be defined in the Department Workload Equivalents document (see 18.2.c.1).

Full Workload. The following shall be considered a full workload: From 18 to 22 ACEs. An employee who teaches a mass lecture shall be compensated with addi­tional ACEs equivalent to the number of semester hours of the course. Mass Lecture will be defined in the Department Workload Equivalents document (see 18.2.c.1). Art studios, music applied study and ensembles, Library assignments, and field and activity courses shall be equated on a ratio of 2⁄3 ACE for each contact hour spent in such work. For laboratories, each actual contact hour shall be assigned at the rate of .5 to one ACE, depending on difficulty/time of prepara­tion and the proportion of time spent teaching or supervising. Where any of the above courses also include lecture hours, each hour of scheduled lecture shall be assigned one ACE. Any Unit A counseling assignments will be negotiated between the Union and the University. Changes in these allocations can only be made in DWEs. Rationale must be provided in writing by anyone requesting a review for any changes. Any such changes must go through the required DWE process, including vote of departmental faculty; review by department chair, xxxx, and college faculty; and approval by the Academic Vice President in con­sultation with the Union Chapter President. If at least 3⁄5 of the department faculty vote to oppose a change to Article 18.2.b., the process will terminate and the proposed change will not happen. Additional workload equivalents will be determined as follows:
Full Workload. A full annual workload shall be deemed to be the maximum timetabled teaching hours specified in subclause 10.7 of this Agreement, plus attendant duties as specified in subclause 10.10 of this Agreement.

  • Workload An employee who believes that her workload is unsafe or consistently excessive shall discuss the problem with her immediate supervisor. If the problem is not resolved in this discussion, the employee may seek a remedy by means of the grievance procedure. If the matter is not resolved in the grievance procedure, it may be referred to troubleshooter who shall:

  • Faculty Workload The workload of faculty includes student advising, maintaining and improving expertise in a discipline and in pedagogy, serving on departmental and university committees, contributing to student growth and development, evaluating student performance, scholarly activities, and service to university and community, as well as teaching and class preparation. Additionally, as a professional, a faculty member shall devote a substantial amount of his/her workload to course preparation, research, the maintenance of professional expertise, innovations in teaching/learning and other similar activities. These endeavors shall comprise the faculty member’s workload.

  • Workloads (a) The parties agree that patient care is enhanced if concerns relating to professional practice, patient acuity, fluctuating Work-Loads and fluctuating staffing are resolved in a timely and effective manner.

  • Shift Work Shift work is work not in excess of ordinary hours (ie 38 hours per week), but carried out wholly or partly between the hours of 7.00pm and 7.00am, Monday to Friday. Shift work is work scheduled at least 24 hours prior to the commencement of the shift. Employees required to work shift work will be paid at time and one quarter of the ordinary rate per hour for ordinary hours worked.

  • Extra Work At any time during the Term of this Agreement, City may request that Consultant perform Extra Work. As used herein, “Extra Work” means any work which is determined by City to be necessary for the proper completion of the Project, but which the Parties did not reasonably anticipate would be necessary at the execution of this Agreement. Consultant shall not perform, nor be compensated for, Extra Work without written authorization from City’s Representative.

  • Shiftwork 38.1 Shift Penalties (Excluding Home Care Classifications)

  • THE WORK The Work comprises the completed construction required by the Contract Documents and includes all labor necessary to produce such construction, and all materials and equipment incorporated or to be incorporated in such construction.

  • Work Load The professional obligation of academic employees comprises both scheduled and non-scheduled activities. The Guild and the District recognize that it is part of the professional responsibility of faculty to carry out their duties in an appropriate manner and place. As part of this responsibility faculty are expected to play an important role in the recruitment and retention of students, campus and departmental governance, program review, accreditation, planning and mentoring. Faculty commitment to retention will be demonstrated by informing students that they are to talk with the instructor prior to dropping the course. Faculty are encouraged to include a statement to this effect in their course syllabi. While it is understood that course syllabi content falls within the purview of the individual faculty member’s academic freedom, the parties also understand that items required to be part of syllabi in order to maintain college or continuing education accreditation must also be included. Tenured/tenure-track faculty who have less than a full-time contract are not eligible to work any additional assignments including long-term substitution (day-to-day substitution is allowed provided the limits specified in Section 5.2.1.3 are not exceeded). Faculty assignments shall be made in the following priority order: Tenured/tenure-track, pro- rata, overload, Priority of Assignment (POA) adjunct faculty assignments, then non-POA adjunct faculty.

  • Contract Work The provision of goods and services identified in the Contract constitute the contract work (Contract Work). Contractor shall perform the Contract Work pursuant to the terms of the Contract. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, services, appliances, and appurtenances for the Contract Work in strict conformity with this Contract, within the time-period prescribed by the City.

  • Employee Workload ‌ The Employer shall ensure that an employee’s workload is not unsafe as a result of employee absence(s). Employees may refer safety related workload concerns to the Occupational Health and Safety Committee for investigation under Article 22.3 (Occupational Health and Safety Committee).
