Common use of Funeral/Bereavement Leave Clause in Contracts

Funeral/Bereavement Leave. Five (5) days’ leave of absence with pay shall be granted for death in the immediate family to be taken at the time of the funeral. Use of the first two (2) days of funeral/bereavement will not be chargeable against sick leave for mother, father, brother, sister, spouse, child(ren) and parents of spouse, step-parents, step-children, in-laws or any dependent who lives in the immediate household or grandparents.
