Government Approvals and Permits. Except as identified in Exhibit C and, with respect to items identified as Owner’s responsibility, in Exhibit G (which items shall be obtained by Owner pursuant to Section 4.5), Design-Builder shall obtain and pay for all necessary permits, approvals, licenses, government charges and inspection fees required for the prosecution of the Work by any government or quasi-government entity having jurisdiction over the Project. Design-Builder shall provide reasonable assistance to Owner in obtaining those permits, approvals and licenses that are Owner’s responsibility.

Government Approvals and Permits. 2.5.1 Unless otherwise provided in the Contract Documents, Contractor has the responsibility to obtain and pay for all necessary permits, approvals, licenses, government charges, and inspection fees required for the prosecution of the Work, and shall immediately deliver copies to the Owner and DP. Contractor shall follow all of Owner’s permitting and inspection procedures. The Contractor shall be responsible for complying with all applicable Federal, State and local laws, codes, notice requirements, and regulations applicable to the site and prosecution of the Work. Contractor shall be responsible for and pay any costs associated with or arising from any non-compliance. 2.5.2 The Contractor shall pay all taxes for and related to the Work or its portion thereof which are legally in force at the time the Job Order proposal is submitted, whether or not yet effective.
