Gratuity Leave. An employee who has completed not less than three (3) years of continuous service and is eligible for gratuity leave may be granted leave up to the number of gratuity days accumulated. An employee’s right to gratuity leave shall be subject at all times to the exigencies of the Department of the employee and to the discretion of the General Manager or designate.

(ii) Not more than one employee may be absent on gratuity leave at any one time.
(iii) An employee's right to gratuity leave shall be subject at all times to the exigencies of the Department and to the discretion of the Fire Chief.
Gratuity Leave. An employee who has completed not less than three (3) years of continuous service may be granted leave up to the number of gratuity days that have been accumulated, PROVIDED HOWEVER THAT:
(i) Subject to (d)(ii), an employee who has completed not less than three (3) years of continuous service may be granted leave of up to the number of gratuity days that have been accumulated.
(ii) An employee's right to gratuity leave shall be subject at all times to the exigencies of the employee's Department and to the discretion of the Department Head.

(a) The employees of the Corporation represented by the Union shall be governed by the following provisions, that is to say, not more than one employee per platoon may be absent on gratuity leave at any one time and not more than four employees in total may be absent at any one time.
(b) An employee's right to gratuity leave shall be subject at all times to the exigencies of the Fire Department and to the discretion of the Fire Chief.
(c) An employee who takes leave under this Section and terminates their employment for any reason prior to the completion of ten (10) years' continuous service shall repay the Corporation the number of days' gratuity leave so taken.
Gratuity Leave. Every member shall be eligible to receive a bonus leave period calculated on the basis of eight (8) hours gratuity for each quarter of a calendar year during which no sick leave is used. Gratuity may be accumulated to a maximum of one hundred sixty (160) hours.

(iii) The reporting of time off under this Gratuity Plan shall be by Staff Attendance Profile.
