Health Information Technology. Each Participating Physician shall use the computerized physician order entry (“CPOE”) system and electronic signature at Hackensack Meridian Health hospitals and designated partner companies to facilitate the collection of information and data. If HMHP deems it necessary that Practice and the Participating Physicians use other health information technology (e.g., web-based solutions and portals that facilitate data exchange, process referrals, create patient registries, or track clinical performance) to enable the Parties to meet their respective obligations under this Agreement or any Payor Contract, Practice and the Participating Physicians agree to implement the specific technology and agree to attend, and require Practice staff to attend, technology training sessions scheduled by HMHP or its agents.

Health Information Technology. The ACO shall use secure means to pass clinical information to its PMs to aggregate and analyze data to coordinate care. The ACO must have technology to support care management, data reporting functionality, and quality improvement. The ACO shall have a current Iowa Health Information Network (“IHIN”) Participation Agreement and shall utilize both Direct Messaging and query capabilities as available. The ACO shall work with the Agency to use IHIN capabilities to regularly exchange Admission Discharge Transfer (“ADT”) data no later than July 1, 2015. The ACO shall conduct these functions in a HIPAA-compliant manner.
Health Information Technology. Section 1. The Employer shall provide the Unions notice of any major new proposed technological change that impacts employees across Kaleida. The Employer will provide updates of such new or revised information as it becomes available. This notice shall take place at Oversight Committee, and the CWA AVP responsible for Clinical Engineering will communicate the information to the members. Section 2. The Union shall have reasonable access, as appropriate, to Employer personnel who are knowledgeable about any proposed new major technology to review and discuss information concerning any impacts on members of the bargaining units(s). Section 3. Employer purchasing representatives and managers in areas where new equipment or technology is being contemplated to be purchased or used on a trial basis will, to the extent as practical and appropriate, seek input from employees who will use such equipment and technology regarding the operational feasibility and efficiency of such equipment and technology. Section 4. Nothing in this Article shall be read to prevent the Employer to exercise its management rights to decide which type of equipment or technology to purchase, lease or acquire or require the Employer to bargain about its decisions to purchase or lease same.

Health Information Technology. 7.01 CONTRACTOR and COUNTY connection shall meet the privacy and security provision of the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH Act), and all related state and federal regulations for the access, maintenance and storage of system data and files. 7.02 CONTRACTOR will report any HIPAA breach per Madera County Master Contract No. 20. 7.03 CONTRACTOR will only access COUNTY EHR software through a private and secure network connection. 7.03.1 CONTRACTOR and COUNTY shall each be responsible for equipment at their perspective site and/or facilities. 7.03.2 COUNTY will ensure CONTRACTOR is granted access through COUNTY secure firewall thus, allowing CONTRACTOR access to type directly into COUNTY’s EHR and electronic prescribing system. 7.03.3 CONTRACTOR and COUNTY are each responsible for network connection on their side of the firewall, and the resolution of all network connections issues will be by mutual agreement. The goal is to ensure continuity of care and to minimize disruption in service delivery.

The primary service provider shall be Omnijoin, Nefsis, WebEx, GoToMeeting, and OmniView, or the equivalent. 7.03.3 COUNTY will ensure CONTRACTOR is granted access through COUNTY secure firewall, allowing CONTRACTOR access to type directly into COUNTY’s EHR and electronic prescribing system. 7.03.4 CONTRACTOR and COUNTY are each responsible for network connection on their side of the firewall, and the resolution of all network connections issues will be by mutual agreement. The goal is to ensure continuity of care and to minimize disruption in service delivery.
