Hours of Work Section 24. 3.1 For full-time Dispatchers: Hours of work shall be based on an 8 hour day with a half (½) hour paid meal period; however, the work week is 37.5 hours based on a six-week cycle. Initially, work schedules shall be the same as Police Officers, 4 shifts on duty followed by 2 shifts off duty. Shifts are 6 a.m. - 2 p.m., 2 p.m. - 10 p.m., 10 p.m. - 6 a.m. The City reserves the right to alter work schedules to meet the needs of the division.

  • HOURS OF WORK i) Where employees are now working a longer daily tour, the provisions set out in this Article governing the regular hours of work on a daily tour shall be adjusted accordingly.
