In-service points. A. Teachers may request a status report on their accumulated in-service points at any time through the secretary to the Chief Human Resource Officer. The District commits to respond to such requests within three (3) workdays. Additionally, the District will investigate the possibility of giving teachers electronic view only access of an appropriate database.

In-service points. In-service points may be counted as college hours for salary movement at a rate of 20 hours of approved in-service equal to one college hour. The in-service points may be used for column movement using the following guidelines: ^ Bachelor Degree One-half of the hours may be in-service points ^ Masters Degree or above All must be graduate hours earned above the Masters Degree The maximum number of in-service points that can be used for salary advancement is one hundred (100) points each year. All in-service points must be earned after the granting of the teacher’s last degree.
In-service points. The School Board agrees to annually provide the teachers the total number of in service points accumulated during their current validity period.
In-service points. Twenty (20) District approved In-Service points count as one (1) graduate college credit on Salary Schedule. Maximum per year for salary advance is forty (40) points.
In-service points. Each 20 points earned in the District-approved In- Service program after August 20, 1985, will count as one graduate college hour. These points (hours) can be used for lateral movement on the Salary Schedule and must be verified by the PDC.
In-service points. A PLC may qualify for Professional Development (“PD”) in-service points when it has been submitted to and approved by the Department of Professional Development Standards and Support. In addition, the awarding of in-service points is a District process outlined in the Board approved BCPS Professional Learning System. PLCs may or may not be part of the 24 hours of professional development time.
