INDIVIDUAL CONTRACTS, REGULAR Clause Samples
The 'Individual Contracts, Regular' clause defines the terms and conditions that apply to standard employment agreements made with individual employees. Typically, this clause outlines the basic employment relationship, including job duties, compensation, working hours, and other standard terms that are not subject to collective bargaining or special arrangements. It ensures that both the employer and employee have a clear understanding of their respective rights and obligations under a regular, individual contract, thereby promoting consistency and reducing the risk of misunderstandings or disputes.
INDIVIDUAL CONTRACTS, REGULAR. All teachers employed by the Board shall be issued written contracts in accordance with the Ohio Revised Code. Such contracts shall include the following information: Name of teacher, name of school district, Board of Education employing said teacher, type of contract if limited, the number of years the contract is to be in effect, annual compensation to be paid for the first year of the contract, basis of determining compensation (i.e., classroom teacher - B.A. Degree - 5 years’ experience). The teacher agrees that he/she shall abide by Board adopted policies. The contract will be signed and dated by the Treasurer, Board president and the contracting teacher.
INDIVIDUAL CONTRACTS, REGULAR. All unit members employed to perform regular duties by the Board shall receive written contracts. The contract shall include:
A. Name of unit member;
B. Name of Board;
C. Type of contract, i.e., limited or continuing. A limited contract will include the length of the contract.
D. Annual regular salary to be paid and the basis used to determine the amount:
1. Said information shall apply only for the initial year on a multi-year or continuing contract. Thereafter, this information will be included on the annual salary notification during the term of the contract; and
2. Such information shall apply for each limited contract.
E. Signature of the Board President, Board Treasurer, and unit member;
F. In addition to the regular contract, unit members shall receive the following:
1. Unit members under contract shall be notified of their tentative assignment by the end of the present school year.
2. ▇▇▇▇▇▇ notices shall be given to unit members under continuing contract no later than July 10 by Superintendent (or his designee).
G. A unit member is presumed to have accepted employment unless he/she notifies the Board in writing to the contrary on or before the first day of June.
INDIVIDUAL CONTRACTS, REGULAR. All members will be issued contracts. The regular individual contract shall include:
a. Name of member;
b. Name of the school district and board of education;
c. Type of contract, limited/continuing; duration, if limited;
d. Annual regular salary to be paid and the basis used to determine the amount. This information applies to the initial year on a multi-year or continuing contract. Thereafter, this information will be included on the annual salary notification during the term of the contract.
e. Signature of the Board president, Board Treasurer, Superintendent, and member.
INDIVIDUAL CONTRACTS, REGULAR. All teachers employed by the Board shall receive written contracts in keeping with Ohio Revised Code. The regular individual contracts shall include:
1. Name of teacher
2. Name of School District and Board of Education
3. Type of contract, limited/continuing; duration, if limited
4. Annual regular salary to be paid and the basis used to determine the amount. Said information shall apply only for the initial year on a multi-year or continuing contract. Thereafter, this information will be included on the annual salary notification during the term of the contract.
5. Place for the signature of the Board President, Board Treasurer and teacher. In addition to the regular contract, teachers shall receive the following:
1. Upon initial employment, the teacher shall be notified no later than August 1 of his/her assignment including: Building(s) where services are to be performed and subject/grade levels to be taught. A teacher under current contract with the Board shall be notified in writing no later than June 15 if there is a change in his/her assignment as stated above. Should there be any changes in teaching assignments thereafter, the teacher shall be given the opportunity to meet with the principal or Superintendent.
2. Written renewal of limited or issuance of continuing contracts to teachers shall be done annually by the end of the teacher’s last work day of the school year.
