Industrial Accident or Illness (Revised November. 20, 1997) 6A Industrial accident or illness is an injury or illness arising out of or in the course of employment with the District. 6B A maximum of sixty (60) working days of paid leave is available for each accident or illness. 6C When an industrial accident or illness occurs at a time when the sixty (60) days overlap into a new fiscal year, the employee shall be entitled to only that amount remaining at the end of the previous fiscal year for that specific injury or illness. 6D Allowable industrial accident or illness leave shall not be accumulated from year to year. 6E Industrial accident or illness leave shall commence on the first (1st) day of absence. 6F When added to an award granted the employee under the Workers' Compensation laws of this State, payment for wages lost on any day shall not exceed the normal wage for the day.

The District, in turn, shall issue the employee appropriate warrants for payments of wages or salary and shall deduct normal retirement and other authorized contributions. 6H When all available leaves of absence, paid or unpaid, have been exhausted and if the employee is not medically able to assume the duties of his/her position, he/she shall, if not placed in another position, be placed on a re-employment list for a period of thirty-nine (39) months. When available, during the thirty- nine-month (39-month) period, he/she shall be employed in a vacant position in the class of his/her previous assignment over all other available candidates except for a re-employment list established because of lack of work or lack of funds, in which case he/she shall be listed in accordance with seniority regulations.

  • Industrial Accident or Illness Leave shall be reduced by one (1) day for each day of authorized absence regardless of a temporary disability indemnity award.

  • Industrial Accident or Illness Leave 7.6.1 All unit members shall receive sixty (60) days’ leave with pay in any one fiscal year for an industrial accident or illness. An industrial accident or illness is defined as one where the unit member becomes ill or is injured while he/she is serving the District, and, the accident or illness is reported to the District’s Self-Insurance Program in accordance with District regulations, and, the District Self-Insurance Program accepts responsibility for the treatment of the unit member.

  • Industrial Accident Leave 5.8.1 Unit Members will be entitled to industrial accident leave according to the provision in Education Code Section 87787 for personal injury which has qualified for Worker's Compensation under the provisions of the State Compensation Insurance Fund.

  • Industrial Accident and Illness Leave Section 44984 of the Education Code is supplemented as follows:

  • Industrial Accident and Illness Leave shall be granted for illness or injury incurred within the course and scope of an employee's assigned duties. The employee who has sustained a job-related injury shall report the injury on an Office approved accident form to the immediate supervisor within twenty-four (24) hours. An employee shall report any illness, in writing, to the immediate supervisor within twenty-four (24) hours of knowledge that the illness is an alleged industrial illness. Requirements for such leave shall be:

  • Transportation of Accident Victims Transportation to the nearest physician or hospital for employees requiring medical care as a result of an on-the-job accident shall be at the expense of the Employer.

  • Career Ladder Effective July 1, 2014, TALC and the District agreed to the 11 implementation of a Career Ladder for the advancement of instructional staff on the 12 Performance Salary Schedule. Elements of the Career Ladder are outlined and posted on 13 the District website and include detailed descriptions of Career Ladder levels and the 14 requirements for movement. All instructional staff hired on or after January 8, 2018 will 15 be placed on the Apprentice level of the Career Ladder.

  • ACCIDENT PREVENTION T h i s p r o v i s i o n i s applicable to all Federal-aid construction contracts and to all related subcontracts.

  • Maternity/Adoption/Parental Leave a) In accordance with the Saskatchewan Employment Act an employee shall be granted maternity, adoption, and/or parental leave of absence without pay.

  • Adverse Weather Shall be only weather that satisfies all of the following conditions: (1) unusually severe precipitation, sleet, snow, hail, or extreme temperature or air conditions in excess of the norm for the location and time of year it occurred based on the closest weather station data averaged over the past five years, (2) that is unanticipated and would cause unsafe work conditions and/or is unsuitable for scheduled work that should not be performed during inclement weather (i.e., exterior finishes), and (3) at the Project.
