Initial Vacation Period. Employees shall be granted fifteen (15) days of vacation per year on January 1 of each year; however, new employees shall not be granted vacation leave for their first six months of employment. Thereafter they shall be credited with seven and one-half (7 ½) days and, going forward, will be granted one and one-quarter (1 ¼) days per month until the next January 1 following their employment. Emergency Communications employees in Unit F will receive 1 ½ tours after the first six months of employment. Thereafter, they shall be credited with ¼ tour per month until the next January 1 following their employment.

  • Vacation Period ‌ The choice of vacation periods shall be granted to employees on the basis of seniority with the Employer except where the period requested would be detrimental to the operation of the Employer.

  • Prime Time Vacation Period Subject to the provisions of this article, it is the intent of the parties that no employee will be restricted in the time of year they choose to take their vacation. The Employer will make every effort to allow employees to take their vacation during the period of April 15th to October 15th inclusive, which will be defined as the prime time vacation period.

  • Vacation Periods Vacation schedules will be set by the employee’s immediate supervisor(s) and sent to the Office of Human Resources for approval. Employees may request a particular period for vacation. Vacation days may not be taken in advance of their accrual. Those employees who are on a 12-month teacher contract are paid during Spring Break and Winter Recess, however, are not expected to be in attendance or perform duties during those breaks.

  • Unbroken Vacation Period An Employee shall receive an unbroken period of vacation unless mutually agreed upon between the Employee and the Employer.

  • Annual Vacation Leave 30.01 An Employee shall not take vacation leave without prior authorization from the Employer.

  • Work During Vacation Period No employee shall be required to work during the employee's vacation once the vacation request has been approved.

  • Duration Period This Agreement shall be effective as of July 1, 2002 and shall continue in effect until June 30, 2005, subject to the Association’s right to negotiate over a successor agreement as provided in Article II. This Agreement shall not be extended orally, and it is expressly understood that is shall expire on the date indicated, unless it is extended in writing.
