Introduction to the workshop. Xx Xxxxxx welcomed the 40 participants (cf. Appendix 2), a broad community of stakeholders, from the field of disability, civil protection, from specialised ministries, agencies, implicated in the work at policy-making and legislative levels, from international organisations or national agencies, active at regional or local levels, in the planning, training and provision of information on the topic Including People with Disabilities in Disaster Preparedness and Response. Xx Xxxxxx gave a particularly warm welcome to participants with disabilities because they are the best advocates in issues concerning their lives. She further welcomed the Council of Europe experts, representing the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities, the International non-governmental Organisations, the Social Cohesion and Integration Division and the members of the Committee of Permanent Correspondents of EUR-OPA. She then wished to dedicate this Workshop to the memory of Mr Xxxxx Xxxxxxx, the former Permanent Correspondent from Croatia, who had been very enthusiastic about this project. Background of the Workshop1 The Ethical Principles on Disaster Risk Reduction and people’s Resilience, adopted in 2011 by the Committee of Permanent Correspondents of EUR-OPA are the basis for the current work programme of EUR-OPA. In 2012 the Committee decided to focus part of its pluri-annual work on guidance for a more operative practice with vulnerable groups: persons with disabilities; children; migrants, asylum seekers and refugees. The Council of Europe strives to promote the perception of persons with disabilities as holders of rights in the same way as all other citizens, considering disability to be part of human diversity. Defending values and promoting human rights through Including People with Disabilities in Disaster Preparedness and Response is at the heart of the Council of Europe’s mission. The moral and ethical case for an inclusive approach guarantees the right of people with disabilities to adequate care in disasters. Little has been done to include people with disability into practical programmes of action in civil protection.   • Workshop The workshop purpose is to provide a training venue for TSS professionals engaged in LVC support and operational and institutional training. Official attendees are active duty military personnel, DOD civilians, and other personnel whose attendance is directed and paid for by a DOD/Army contract. Workshops are held annually in a CONUS location to accommodate all TSS Headquarters, Command, Installation, and supporting agencies involved with development, delivery, and support of the TSS program. The workshops may be attended by as many as 1,500 official participants, and include breakouts for each of the main TSS program areas, technical training with automated applications, briefings, and symposiums. The contractor shall provide evaluation of available venues, and assist with the selection and execute agreements to engage the venue. The contractor shall assist with the planning for the workshop to include preparation of required paperwork for Army conference approval. The contractor shall coordinate and execute the workshop including marketing, registration, logistical support, workshop operation, and After Action Reviews (AARs). There are no personal services associated with this contract.

  • Construction Phase Services 3.1.1 – Basic Construction Services

  • Design Phase Services § 3.2.1 The Architect shall review the program and other information furnished by the Owner, and shall review laws, codes, and regulations applicable to the Architect’s services.

  • Design Development Phase Services 3.3.1 Based on the Owner’s approval of the Schematic Design Documents, and on the Owner’s authorization of any adjustments in the Project requirements and the budget for the Cost of the Work, the Architect shall prepare Design Development Documents for the Owner’s approval. The Design Development Documents shall illustrate and describe the development of the approved Schematic Design Documents and shall consist of drawings and other documents including plans, sections, elevations, typical construction details, and diagrammatic layouts of building systems to fix and describe the size and character of the Project as to architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical systems, and other appropriate elements. The Design Development Documents shall also include outline specifications that identify major materials and systems and establish, in general, their quality levels.

  • PROCUREMENT CARD The State has entered into an agreement for purchasing card services. The Purchasing Card enables Authorized Users to make authorized purchases directly from a Contractor without processing Purchase Orders or Purchase Authorizations. Purchasing Cards are issued to selected employees authorized to purchase for the Authorized User and having direct contact with Contractors. Cardholders can make purchases directly from any Contractor that accepts the Purchasing Card. The Contractor shall not process a transaction for payment through the credit card clearinghouse until the purchased Products have been shipped or services performed. Unless the cardholder requests correction or replacement of a defective or faulty Product in accordance with other Contract requirements, the Contractor shall immediately credit a cardholder’s account for Products returned as defective or faulty.

  • Building Commissioning Services The Owner may provide as a part of its testing services the Building Commissioning services involving the project’s HVAC and exhaust systems, temperature control systems, fire detection and alarm systems, emergency power and lighting system, fire suppression system, security locks and security locking control systems, food service equipment (if applicable), and laundry equipment (if applicable). In the event the Using Agency’s Program specifies additional commissioning services, the Owner shall procure such services as well. The Owner, through its Executive Administrator, may engage an independent Commissioning Authority. It is the intent of this Article that the Commissioning Authority enforce the requirements mentioned herein and certify that the systems and equipment listed all function properly prior to the initiation of each final inspection.

  • Preconstruction Phase Services Preconstruction Phase Services shall mean all services described in Article 3.1, and any similar services described in the Request for Proposals, including such similar services as are described in the Construction Manager at Risk’s Response to the Request for Proposals to the extent they are accepted by Owner, but excluding any Early Work. Early Work shall be considered part of Construction Phase Services.
