IRREGULAR AFTERNOON WORK a) This occurs where Utilities Management requires short term working on afternoons and evenings by a day worker and the employee agrees to work the arrangement proposed. Such work is not worked to a roster as is the case with shift work. Refer subclause 9.7. b) Irregular afternoon working will be undertaken in daily periods averaging 7.5 hours (7.2 hours in the case of the 36 hour week) each which finish after 6.00p.m. and at or before midnight Monday to Friday inclusive. c) An employee who transfers from normal day work to irregular afternoon working will be paid for each period of afternoon working, at the rate of time and a half (1.5x) of the employee’s ordinary rate of pay for the first two (2) hours and double time (2x) the ordinary rate for the remainder. d) When an employee is transferred by Utilities Management from afternoon working back to normal day work, the employee will be entitled to an off-duty period of ten (10) consecutive hours. The off- duty period will be granted by Utilities Management without loss of pay for any normal day work hours falling within such absence.

Such work is not worked to a roster as is the case with shift work (Clause 9). b) Irregular afternoon working will be undertaken in daily periods averaging 7.5 hours each which finish after 6.00 p.m. and at or before midnight Monday to Friday inclusive. c) An employee who transfers from normal day work to irregular afternoon working will be paid for each period of afternoon working, at the rate of time and a half (1.5x) of the employee’s ordinary rate of pay for the first three (3) hours and double time (2x) the ordinary rate for the remainder. d) When an employee is transferred by ElectraNet from afternoon working back to normal day work, the employee will be entitled to an off-duty period of ten (10) consecutive hours. The off-duty period will be granted by ElectraNet without loss of pay for any normal day work hours falling within such absence.

  • Regular Work Day A regular work day shall consist of six and one-half (6½) hours between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

  • Regular Work Week The regular work week shall be any five (5) consecutive days, Sunday through Saturday, for a total regular work week of forty (40) working hours, subject to the applicable premiums where provided for in this Agreement. Notwithstanding the above, employees may volunteer to work schedules that fall outside of the regular work week of Sunday through Saturday and may do so, upon approval by the Company, and with no penalty cost to the Company, but with applicable premiums as provided for in this Agreement.

  • Regular Hours The regular hours of work each day shall be consecutive except for interruptions for lunch periods.

  • Afternoon Shift (i) Afternoon Shift is any shift where the normal ceasing time is later than 6.00 p.m. but not later than midnight. (ii) The additional loading for ordinary hours only shall be twenty-five percent (25%) of the all purpose rate applying to the Employees' classification.

  • Work Day The standard work day shall be eight (8) consecutive hours of work exclusive of a lunch period in a consecutive twenty-four (24) hour day.

  • Normal Work Day The normal work day shall be eight (8) hours and the normal work week shall be forty (40) hours, Monday through Friday, provided however that nothing herein shall be construed as guaranteeing any EMPLOYEE eight (8) hours of work per day or forty (40) hours per week. A single shift shall consist of eight (8) hours of continuous employment, except for unpaid lunch period, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

  • Working Day Working Day means a day other than a Saturday, Sunday, or a holiday which is observed by the construction industry in the area of the Place of the Work.

  • Workweek A regularly re-occurring period of one hundred and sixty-eight (168) hours consisting of seven (7) consecutive twenty-four (24) hour periods. Workweeks will normally begin at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and end at 12:00 midnight the following Saturday or as otherwise designated by the appointing authority. If there is a change in their workweek, employees will be given written notification by the appointing authority or their designee.

  • WORKING DAY BEFORE AUCTION DATE Any intending bidder who intends to bid on behalf of another person, body corporate or firm is required to deposit with the Auctioneer prior to the auction sale an authority letter to state that he/she is acting on behalf of another person, body corporate or firm and he/she is authorised to sign all the necessary documents. All intending bidders shall be required to verify their identities by showing to the Auctioneer their identity cards prior to the commencement of the auction, failing which, they shall not be entitled to bid. In the event that the Bumiputra lot is sold to a non Bumiputra or if the successful bidder is below the age of 18 or is an undischarged bankrupt or is not legally competent to purchase the property, then such sale shall be cancelled and the deposit paid shall be refunded to the successful bidder and thereafter the Assignee shall be at liberty to put up the property for sale. A foreign citizen/foreign company may be allowed to bid for the property and if the bid is successful, the sale is subject to the foreign citizen/company applying and obtaining at his/her/its own cost to the Economic Planning Unit (if applicable) and/or relevant State Authority for the unconditional consent to the sale within the period stated in Clause 11 hereof but subject to Clause 22 hereof.

  • Work Week The work week will begin at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and end at 11:59 p.m. the following Saturday.
