Normal Day Sample Clauses

Normal Day. A normal working day is as determined in the Wollongong City Council Enterprise Agreement.
Normal Day. (a) A normal day is defined as a maximum period of nine (9) hours, exclusive of an optional thirty (30) to forty-five (45) minute lunch/dinner break, during which a maximum of ten (10) lessons may be scheduled. A premium of three dollars ($3.00) per lesson will be paid for all lessons worked over forty-two (42) lessons per week. (b) With the exception of when the employee is teaching a day class (including attending at or delivering instructor training) the nine (9) hour period referred to in (a) shall be booked between 12:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on weekdays and between 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. (c) Instructors shall have the discretion to book work before 12:00 p.m. but these appointments shall not be considered as part of the nine (9) hour period. (d) Instructors shall not be entitled to book lessons that bring them into an overtime position, that is, in excess of nine (9) hours per day, exclusive of the optional lunch/dinner break. (e) Work is defined as in-car instruction time and evaluation; classroom teaching; road test appointments; Company authorized training, meetings and video reviews (up to three (3) lessons annually); and grievance meetings with management. (f) As the company’s computer software (YDBMS) is programmed to track student lessons and classroom sessions, instructors will be paid by-the- lesson for in-car work and by-the-session for classroom work. (g) The work day shall commence from the time the instructor starts the first scheduled in-car lesson or fifteen (15) minutes prior to in-class sessions if the instructor is in possession of a Company vehicle. When an instructor is required to pickup the Company vehicle from a designated location over twelve (12) kilometers from the first scheduled work, the instructor will receive one lesson pay. (h) The current ICBC GLP five (5) day training program will be paid at fifty dollars ($50) per day.
Normal Day. The length of the normal workday shall be 7.5 continuous hours inclusive of the .5-hour duty-free lunch period. An alternative schedule to the workday needs to be mutually agreed upon by the building administrator and the educator. The time before and after student contact time shall be flexible, but shall take into account the needs of students. Priorities for this time shall be: student needs, parent meetings, collaboration, IEP meetings or other student related activities. Individual employees shall decide how to use the 45 minutes outside the student day with the expectation that employees will be in their work location 15 minutes before the start of the student day. Employees shall inform their building principal of their time use. Exceptions will be made for faculty meeting days. Staff meetings will be scheduled consistently as determined annually by the building LIT. Counselors and Nurses, who are working at the request of their administrator prior to school start, will be compensated, either by flexing workdays throughout the student calendar or financial compensation. Employees and evaluators will work together to determine compensation.

Normal Day to-Day Operation (Non-Active Status)  Review the OAMA plan and familiarize yourself with the procedures and the OAMA Coordinator position and duties.  Become familiar with emergency management and response personnel within your area. Be aware of the anticipated needs and skills of people within your area.  Assist in the development and participate in an annual exercise of the OAMA plan.

Staff meetings and supervisory assignments will be scheduled 19 consistently as determined by the building LIT. 20

Related to Normal Day

  • Normal Work Day The normal work day shall be eight (8) hours and the normal work week shall be forty (40) hours, Monday through Friday, provided however that nothing herein shall be construed as guaranteeing any EMPLOYEE eight (8) hours of work per day or forty (40) hours per week. A single shift shall consist of eight (8) hours of continuous employment, except for unpaid lunch period, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

  • Normal Workweek The normal workweek shall consist of five (5) days, eight (8) hours per day and forty (40) hours per week. This Article shall not restrict the extension of the regular workday or workweek on an overtime basis when such is necessary to carry on the business of the District.

  • Normal Work Week The normal work week shall be thirty-seven and one-half (37 1/2) hours, and the normal daily hours of work shall be seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours, exclusive of a meal period. The normal work week shall be Monday through Friday and the normal workday shall be scheduled between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday. (b) When the employee is scheduled off on a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to schedule the employee off the paid holiday. (c) In the event of a scheduling conflict, 12.07 (a) will be the deciding provision.

  • Working Day Working Day means a day other than a Saturday, Sunday, or a holiday which is observed by the construction industry in the area of the Place of the Work.

  • Working on a Holiday An employee who is required to work on a holiday shall be paid at the rate of straight time plus time and one-half (1 1/2).

  • Annual Holidays (a) All workers shall be entitled to four weeks annual leave after each period of 12 months continuous employment with the employer, to be provided and paid in accordance with the Holidays Act 2003. The parties to this collective agreement agree that the taking of a minimum of 4 weeks paid annual leave per 12 months of employment is essential for the rest and recreation needs of all employees. Therefore the employer will not promote or accept requests from employees to pay out any of the 4 week annual leave yearly entitlement except where the employee establishes that exceptional circumstances require them to make such request. (b) Except that Managers shall be eligible for a minimum of 5 weeks annual leave per year (c) The parties agree that workers who are paid by direct credit to their bank account shall be paid for their annual holidays in the pay that relates to the period during which the holiday is taken.Where workers are paid other than by direct credit, annual holiday pay shall be paid before the holiday starts. (d) Each worker is expected to take their annual leave entitlement by the due date and shall not carry over more than two weeks entitlement into the next year without mutual agreement with their employer. (i.e. leave earned in one year is to be taken no later than the end of the following year unless agreement has been reached to carry over the leave as outlined above). (e) Annual leave may be taken in advance by agreement with the employer and will be available to employees in their first 12 months of service. Such agreement shall not be unreasonably be withheld. The parties agree that any such holiday pay paid in advance may be deducted from a worker’s final pay if she/he leaves the service before the leave has lawfully been accrued. (f) Study leave and annual leave shall be taken at times mutually agreed between the worker and the employer. The worker is required to give reasonable notice of any application of leave. In the event that the parties are unable to reach agreement as to the timing of annual leave, the employer may require the employee to take annual leave by giving 28 days written notice. (g) At the beginning of any twelve month period an employee may elect to take a 2% salary reduction in return for an additional weeks leave on full pay at the end of that twelve month period. (h) Employers will provide written receipt of request for annual leave immediately if practicable.

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday An Employee who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double time and one-half (2½) for hours worked, plus a day off subject to this Agreement.
