Joint Labor/Management Committee – State Human Resources Modernization Project. The Union and the State agree to establish a Joint Labor/Management Committee (Committee) to discuss and provide recommendations to the Union and the State concerning the Human Resources Modernization Project (Project) and its potential impact on employees. Topics of discussion may include:  Workforce Planning  Classification  Compensation  Recruitment/Selection  Performance Management The Committee shall consist of ten (10) members, five (5) selected by the Union and five (5) selected by the State. Each party shall select an individual to serve as co-chair. The Committee by mutual agreement shall determine its meeting schedule, ground rules and agenda and shall commence meeting as soon as possible after ratification of this Contract, and shall meet at least monthly thereafter. Employees shall suffer no loss in compensation for serving on the Committee. It is not the intent of this section to limit the ability of the State and the Union to otherwise address particular issues concerning areas generally falling within this section. This Section is subject to and does not supersede the provisions of Articles 14.1 Classification Changes and 24.1 Entire Agreement.

The Committee shall consist of equal numbers of management and PECG representatives selected by the PECG and by the State. Each party shall select an individual to serve as co-chair. The Committee by mutual agreement shall determine its meeting schedule, ground rules and agenda and shall commence meeting as soon as possible after ratification of the Contract, and shall meet at least quarterly thereafter. Upon mutual agreement, subject matter experts may be invited to attend the meetings and contribute to the discussions. Committee members and subject matter experts shall serve without loss of compensation. The Committee recommendations shall be considered by management as a management tool and are advisory in nature.

Upon mutual agreement, subject matter experts may be invited to attend the meetings and contribute to the discussions. Committee members and subject matter experts shall serve without loss of compensation. The Committee recommendations shall be considered by management as a management tool and are advisory in nature. The Committee shall endeavor to make substantive recommendations no later than July 1, 2012. Nothing shall prevent the parties from pursuing proposals independent of this effort should circumstances warrant it.

  • Joint Labor/Management Committees Purpose and Membership. Joint Labor/Management Committees are established to provide a forum for communications and problem-solving between the two parties and to deal with matters of a general personnel Union/Employer concern, as well as professional practices within the hospital related to patient care and professional issues. The Committees will work toward the improvement of patient care and recommend ways and means to improve patient care; and will address problems and concerns related to staffing and workloads. The Committees’ function will be limited to an advisory capacity and shall not include any decision making or collective bargaining authority. Committee memberships:

  • JOINT LABOR MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE In order to encourage open communication, promote harmonious labor relations, and resolve matters of mutual concern, the parties agree to create a joint labor- management committee. The committee will be governed by the following principles:

  • LABOR MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE 1. A Statewide Labor Management Committee consisting of not more than five (5) members selected by the VSEA from among bargaining units represented by VSEA and not more than five (5) members selected by the State shall meet periodically to discuss a mutually agreed agenda which may include methods of improving labor relations, productivity, safety, and health problems of a continuing nature, or other problems which have an impact on conditions of employment; provided, however, these sessions are not for the purpose of discussing pending grievances or for collective bargaining on any subject.

  • LABOR/MANAGEMENT COMMITTEES Section 1. Labor/Management Committees The parties recognize that the holding of periodic meetings for the exchange of views and information contributes to the effectiveness of the labor/management relationship. Therefore, the parties shall establish Labor/Management Committees (LMC), in accordance with the provisions in this Article, for the purpose of addressing matters of concern in the areas of personnel policies, practices, conditions of employment, and other matters affecting employees. Each LMC will be co-chaired by one member from labor and one member from management.

  • JOINT LABOUR MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE 18.01 A Joint Labour Management Committee shall be established to attend to those matters which are of mutual interest. To ensure its effectiveness the Committee shall be separate and apart from the grievance procedure.

  • Labour Management Committee (a) Where the parties mutually agree that there are matters of mutual concern and interest that would be beneficial if discussed at a Labour-Management Committee Meeting during the term of this Agreement, the following shall apply.

  • EMPLOYEE-MANAGEMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE 33.01 (a) An Employee-Management Advisory Committee (EMAC) shall be established within three (3) months of the signing of the Collective Agreement. The Union Representative shall provide the names of up to three (3) elected Employees and the Employer shall provide the names of up to three (3) appointed representatives to sit on the EMAC.

  • Joint Safety Committee (a) The Union and the Company shall cooperate in selecting one or more Safety Committees, which will meet at least once a month to consider all safety and occupational health problems.
