Judicial and Official Appearances. The District will grant a leave of absence to a Full-Time or Part-Time Faculty Member for a judicial or other official appearance in a proceeding in which the District is a party so long as the Full-Time or Part-Time Faculty Member's appearance in such proceeding is determined by the District to be in support of the District's position in that proceeding.
Judicial and Official Appearances. The District may grant leaves to appear as a witness in court other than as a litigant, or to respond to any official order from another governmental agency for reasons not brought about by a unit member’s connivance or misconduct.

10.7.2 Any compensation received for appearance as a witness or for serving as a juror shall be given to the employer so that the total employee's compensation shall be no more than his regular compensation.

No more than one member of the full-time academic staff shall be granted leave for jury duty at any one time. Leaves provided under this section shall be granted with pay for the unit member up to the amount of the difference between the unit member's regular earnings for the period covered by the leave and any amount received for juror or witness fees.

No leave shall be granted unless the member is required to appear by a subpoena or equivalent order and a copy submitted.
11.3.2 Leave shall be with pay up to the amount of the difference between the employee's regular earnings and the amount to which the member is entitled for appearance fees, but the member is required to make claim for, collect, and pay to the County Superintendent of Schools all funds he/she is entitled to for appearance fees.
