Kilometre Rates. Kilometre rates paid to employees using their automobiles on Company business shall be as follows: 1. The rate paid per kilometre is related to changes in the Private Transportation Index component of the Consumer Price Index of Canada. 2. The rate of .38 cents per kilometre will take effect on January 1, 1997. 3. Future increases of one cent per kilometre will occur with each additional ten percent (10%) point increase from the base figure of 31.5 (1992 CPI = 100) in accordance with the formula described in a letter of agreement between Ontario Hydro and the Union dated May 25, 1983. 4. Conversion factor is 1 mile = 1.6 km. 5. A decline in the index below the level of a previously surpassed trigger point for two or more consecutive months will result in a reduction in the paid rate to the appropriate amount. 6. The effective date for any new kilometre rate triggered by this indexing formula will be the first of the month following the month in which the index is published. As a condition of employment, the Company does not require anyone to own a car. When transportation is required, the employee may, with the Company’s approval elect to use his/her own car at the approved kilometre rate but if he/she does not elect to use his/her own car or if he/she does not own a car, the Company will, if necessary, provide alternative transportation appropriate to the occasion. However, ownership of an appropriate driver's license may be a condition of employment in some situations.

Kilometre Rates. (a) Effective July 1, 2005, the kilometre rate will be adjusted to the current Public Service Commission Private Vehicle rate. Kilometre rates will be adjusted within seven- (7) calendar days of the effective date of future changes in the Public Service Commission rate.

The price of each brand shall then be averaged and the average price will determine the mileage rate for the next three (3) months. The price check will be made on the first day of March, June, September and December by the Publisher of The Chatham Daily News or his/her designee and the elected representative of the Union.

Kilometre Rates. The Employer shall provide a mileage allowance to employees not receiving car allowances and who are authorized to use their automobile for Employer business at the rate of 48 cents per kilometre for the first 5000 kilometres in each calendar year, and 43 cents thereafter. Effective January 1, 2016, the rates will increase to 49 cents and 44 cents respectively. Effective December 31, 2017, the rates will increase to 50 cents and 45 cents respectively. The Employer shall compensate full-time general assignment reporters a minimum of 250 kilometres per month, and part-time general assignment reporters 150 kilometres per month. Furthermore, it is the responsibility of employees to have the appropriate licence and insurance coverage for use of their vehicle.
Kilometre Rates. As a condition of employment, the Company does not require anyone to own a vehicle. Maintenance of a valid driver’s license may be a condition of employment in some situations. Employees are discouraged from using personal vehicles for travel related to Company business. Where no practical alternative exists, and the Employee has received the approval of their immediate Supervisor, use of a personal vehicle in the conduct of Company business may be permitted. In such cases, Employees are responsible for all operating costs (including, but not limited to, ensuring that appropriate insurance coverage is purchased) and reimbursement for expenses associated with use of a personal vehicle shall be at a rate of $0.56 per kilometre (effective upon execution of this Agreement) adjusted annually on the anniversary date of the Agreement based on the latest available Private Transportation Index component of the Consumer Price Index of Canada.
Kilometre Rates. 19.1 Contractors who xxxxx lly travel more than 100 km per day from depot to depot whilst engaged on company work are to provide start and finish odometer readings on xxxxx cards for payment as specified in clause 18 of Annex A. Audit checks of such readings may occur.

Kilometre Rates. Effective July 21, 2010 the Employer shall provide a mileage allowance to employees who are authorized to use their automobile for Company business at the rate of 37 cents per kilometre. Effective January 1, 2011the rate shall increase to 38 cents per kilometre. Effective January 1, 2012 the rate shall increase to 39 cents per kilometre.
