Labour and Other Statutory Compliance. The Contractor shall in respect of employees/workers employed by it either directly or through any of its Subcontractors for execution of the Scope of Project, comply with all Applicable Laws for such employment, including but not limited to, all beneficial legislations, Contract Labour Act, 1970, Payment of Wages Act, 1936, Minimum Wages Act, 1948, Employees’ Compensation Act, 1923, Contract Labour (R&A) Act, 1970, Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment & Conditions of Service) Act, 1996 and Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, 1986 etc. The Contractor shall provide and maintain such accommodation and amenities as it may consider necessary for all its staff and labour, employed / engaged for the purpose of or in connection with the Contract, including all fencing, water supply (both for drinking and other purposes), electricity supply, sanitation, cookhouses, fire prevention and firefighting equipment, and other requirements in connection with such accommodation or amenities in compliance with the Good Industry Practice.

The Contractor shall provide and maintain such accommodation and amenities, as it may consider necessary for all its staff and labour, employed / engaged for the purpose of or in connection with the Contract, including all fencing, water supply (both for drinking and other purposes), electricity supply, sanitation, cookhouses, fire prevention and firefighting equipment, and other requirements in connection with such accommodation or amenities in compliance with the Good Industry Practice. The Contractor shall be responsible for the development, safety, housekeeping, and security of the allotted space, and shall be liable for damages in case of non -compliance towards the safety, housekeeping, and security of the allotted space in case allotted by authority. If the Contractor intends to use Authorities land for stacking materials as well as for construction of temporary hutments etc. rent will be recovered from the Contractor. Such notices will continue to be subject to the approval of the Council.
