Landscape Waste. Collection, transportation and disposal of Landscape Waste as more particularly described Section 4.2 of this Agreement.
Landscape Waste. The Contractor shall collect, transport, and dispose of Landscape Waste from March 15 through December 15 of each year, in accordance with the following:
Landscape Waste i) All Landscape Waste shall be disposed of in a lawful manner, either: (A) at Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) permitted landscape waste composting facilities, at which Landscape Waste is treated, composted, ground, or land-applied; or (B) via land application at legal agronomic rates.
ii) Not less than 60 days prior to the date on which the Contractor commences disposal of Landscape Waste at a particular location, the Contractor shall notify the City in writing of the designation of such location. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the City reserves the right to reject any proposed location, or to direct the location of disposal to an alternate Landscape Waste facility.
iii) No Landscape Waste may be disposed of at a landfill or solid waste incinerator, unless otherwise authorized by the Illinois Environmental Protection Act (415 ILCS 5/1 et seq.) and approved in advance and in writing by the City.
iv) The City, in exchange for the franchise fee as set forth in Section 5.2 below, shall permit Contractor to operate a yard waste disposal yard at City-owned property located on Pershing Road.
v) The City expressly agrees to provide free disposal for leaves collected by Contractor from the City, the City of Zion and the Village of Beach Park during the autumn dates mutually agreed upon for such leaf collection service. In the event that the Pershing Road disposal site is no longer available to the City, the Parties may renegotiate the rates in order to cover the Contractor’s additional costs for the disposal of leaves, including transportation to a site if outside of the municipal limits.
Landscape Waste. Food Scrap Collection and Six Week Leaf Collection Program
Landscape Waste. Contractor shall make all pick-ups at the curbside unless other arrangements are made prior to the pick-up day;
Landscape Waste. Refuse Stickers - $2.85 per sticker (fixed price for Term of the Contract.) The Contactor will introduce a yard waste/refuse sticker used for seasonal yard waste or extra refuse outside the cart if the 35-gallon or 64-gallon refuse program is selected by the Residential Unit. The cost of the sticker will not increase or be subject to annual price increases during the life of the contract.
Landscape Waste. All accumulations of grass or shrubbery cuttings, leaves, tree limbs (as stated below), aquatic weeds, and other material accumulated as the result of the care of lawns, shrubbery, vines and trees, and as otherwise described at 415 ILCS 5/3.270.
