Layoff and Recall by Seniority. If an employee's position is eliminated, the employee shall have the right to displace the least senior employee in the same classification or the least senior employee in a lower classification. The displaced person shall then have the right to displace the least senior person in the next lower classification, etc. In all cases of displacement, the remaining employees must be qualified, as determined by the School District, to perform the duties of the new position assumed. Under no circumstances may an employee displace another employee in a higher job classification level.
