Legal, Ethical, and Professional Practice. School psychology graduate students will develop knowledge of the history and foundations of school psychology; multiple service models and methods; ethical, legal, and professional standards; and other factors related to professional identity and effective practice as school psychologists. Students will demonstrate skills to provide services consistent with ethical, legal, and professional standards; engage in responsive ethical and professional decision-making; collaborate with other professionals; and apply professional work characteristics needed for effective practice as school psychologists, including respect for human diversity and social justice, communication skills, responsibility, adaptability, initiative, dependability, and technology skills. The basic objective of the Program is to train psychologists to function optimally in the public schools with a commitment to understanding and responsiveness to human diversity. Candidates for the Specialist degree and for certification must not only provide evidence that they have developed the competencies necessary to work effectively with school systems and families, but they must also demonstrate their ability to function with public school personnel, parents, and other public and privately employed professionals with whom they come in contact in order to meet the unique needs of critical socialization institutions such as families and schools. The FIELDWORK SITE in collaboration with the UNIVERSITY will designate one school psychologist who has at least three years experience in School Psychology to serve as the primary supervisor. The student may also work with other experienced school psychologists for specific activities. In no case shall any supervisor be assigned by the FIELDWORK SITE to provide concurrent supervision for more than two interns or students.

  • Professional Practice The parties agree that nurses who have professional practice complaints will make such complaint in writing to their manager and if such complaint is not resolved then it will be considered an appropriate topic at ONA management committee, unless otherwise agreed by the parties. The parties agree that ONA members may use the ONA Professional Responsibility and Workload Report Form.

  • Professional Conduct Xxxxxxxx of professional conduct and failure to perform at the established professional level are subject to disciplinary procedures. Examples of such breaches are: abuses of sick leave and other leaves, chronic tardiness, willful deficiencies in professional performance or proven incompetence, violation of Board policy, regulations and administrative directions not inconsistent with the terms of this Agreement and violation of the terms of this Agreement. Alleged breaches of professional conduct and reasons for possible disciplinary action shall be reported promptly to the offending Employee.

  • Ethical Conduct Seller's employees shall comply with the BorgWarner Supplier Code of Conduct articulated within the BorgWarner Supplier Manual. Compliance with these standards is a mandatory component of Buyer's purchase contracts worldwide and must also apply to Seller subcontractors.   • Continuing Professional Development 30.1.7 If, during the life of the Agreement, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is introduced for plumbers, all time spent in complying with the CPD obligations will be the responsibility of each plumber.

  • Personnel Practices Section 1. The parties agree to establish a Labor-Management Committee to consult on personnel practices. The Committee will consist of five (5) representatives selected by the County and five (5) representatives by the SEIU Local 721. The Chief Executive Officer will designate a representative from CEO/Employee Relations and Department of Human Resources who have authority to resolve issues. The Committee will meet quarterly and consult on County-wide personnel practices including, but not limited to, performance evaluations, appraisals of promotability, grievance, arbitration, appeal processes, and resolution and payment of awards.

  • Professional Development 9.01 Continuous professional development is a hallmark of professional nursing practice. As a self-regulating profession, nursing recognizes the importance of maintaining a dynamic practice environment which includes ongoing learning, the maintenance of competence, career development, career counselling and succession planning. The parties agree that professional development includes a diverse range of activities, including but not limited to formal academic programs; short-term continuing education activities; certification programs; independent learning committee participation. The parties recognize their joint responsibility in and commitment to active participation in the area of professional development.
