LEOFF I Employees. The provisions for sick leave benefits outlined in Sections 1, 2, 3, 6, and 7 above will not apply to any member of the Washington Law Enforcement and Firefighters Retirement system who established membership in that system on or before September 30, 1977 unless specifically otherwise provided.
LEOFF I Employees. Effective for January 2014 coverage, the Employer shall pay for medical, vision, dental and life coverage of employees enrolled in the LEOFF I pension system. Effective for January 2014 coverage, the Employer shall pay a portion of the medical, vision, dental and life insurance coverage of the spouse, state registered domestic partner or children of active duty employees enrolled in the LEOFF I pension system. The Employer shall contribute 85% of the premium for Employee and Spouse or Employee and Child(ren), and shall contribute 78% of the premium for Employee and Family, all based on the premiums of the Yakima County “LEOFF I plan”.
LEOFF I Employees. In lieu of applying for disability leave as provided under RCW 41.26, LEOFF I employees may go on sick leave for up to 48 hours for short term illness or injury.
LEOFF I Employees. Effective January 1, 1974, LEOFF I employees shall cease to accrue sick leave in favor of coverage available under the disability portion of the LEOFF System. Any bona fide short-term illness by LEOFF I employees resulting in absence from work shall be grounds for application to the Disability Board for short-term disability coverage.
