A Director of Photography (“DP”) and the Producer of the film may request that the DP be permitted to also function as a Camera Operator. Such request must be made in writing during the film’s pre-production and directed to the IATSE with a copy to the appropriate Camera Local. The IATSE shall have the authority to grant such request based upon special needs or extraordinary circumstances. The agreement of the DP to operate the camera shall not be a condition of the DP’s employment and the DP and Producer shall confirm same in their request. WORK WEEK SHIFTS. 6.1 The Sheriff will determine the work week assignments for employees based on the Sheriff's assessment of availability of personnel and service requirements. Subject to the Sheriff's determinations, a work week may consist of five (5) days, four (4) days or a combination thereof with a variation in the number of hours per day. The Sheriff will make a reasonable effort to provide consecutive days off where possible.
WORK WEEK SHIFTS. 8.1 The option for assigned work week for an employee shall consist of either four 10- hour days or five 8-hour days, within a 7-day work period, or a 14-day work period consisting of seven 12-hour days with 4 hours of Xxxxx time, as determined by the Sheriff. All work schedules are subject to change in the event of unusual occurrences, civil disorders, national disaster, or as determined by the Sheriff with thirty (30) calendar daysnotice to the affected employees except in the event of an emergency. Wherever practical, the days off shall be consecutive. Employees working an 8-hour shift shall be allowed at least 16 hours off between work shifts; employees working a 10-hour shift shall be allowed at least 14 hours off between work shifts; and employees working a 12-hour shift shall be allowed at least 12 hours off between work shifts. The time off between work shifts is applicable except when an employee agrees otherwise, and except for normal shift rotations, emergencies and/or temporary personnel shortages, and unless otherwise impractical. When the employer requires an employee to change scheduled hours of work from one length of shift to another, the employer shall furnish the employee with at least thirty (30) calendar days’ written notice prior to the change taking place. No notice is required if the employee volunteers to change work shifts as a result of a change in job assignment. 8.2 Each member of the bargaining unit may be allowed to exchange shifts with other members when the change is not detrimental to the best interests of the Sheriff’s Office, as reasonably determined by and subject to the prior approval of the Sheriff or his designees.

  • Work Shifts Employees shall be scheduled to work on regular work shifts having regular starting and quitting times.   • Work Week The work week will begin at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and end at 11:59 p.m. the following Saturday.

  • Hour Shifts When the Employer deems it necessary to implement a twelve (12) hour work day, affected employees shall be notified pursuant to Clause 14.05. The following Clauses shall be replaced or added to the Collective Agreement where appropriate.

  • Work Shift The hours an employee is scheduled to work each workday in a workweek.

  • Standard Work Week The standard work week for full-time employees covered by this Agreement shall be forty (40) hours, exclusive of the time allotted for meal periods, consisting of five (5) consecutive work days followed by two (2) consecutive days off. The week shall commence with the shift that includes 12:01 A.M. Sunday of each calendar week and end at the start of the shift that includes 12:00 midnight the following Saturday. The Employer retains the right to modify the work schedules to meet operational needs.

  • Work Day and Work Week The normal work day shall consist of up to 8 hours of work within a 24-hour period. The normal work week shall consist of up to 40 hours of work within a 7-day period. The Employer may define the work week on an individual, department, shift or facility basis in accordance with Federal and State law.

  • Work Week and Work Day (a) (Applicable to full-time employees only) The normal or standard work week shall be an average of thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours, with a normal or standard work day of seven and one-half (7½) hours except in those Hospitals where agreements already provide a standard or normal work week of less than thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours per week and seven and one-half (7½) hours per day. (Those Hospitals with the lesser required hours shall reflect in the salary rates a pro-rata lesser amount compared with salaries for other Hospitals based on the ratio that the standard or normal hours of work at the Hospital concerned are to thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours and shall appropriately reflect such hours in this Article). The length of time over which the hours of work per week are to be averaged shall be determined locally and shall be set out in the Local Provisions Appendix. (b) (applicable to part-time employees only) The normal or standard work day shall be seven and one-half (7½) hours per day and the normal or standard full- time work week shall be an average of thirty-seven and one- half (37½) hours per week except in those hospitals where agreements already provide a normal or standard work day of less than seven and one-half hours and a normal or standard full-time work week of less than thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours. (Those Hospitals with the lesser required hours shall reflect in the salary rates a pro-rata lesser amount compared with salaries for other Hospitals based on the ratio that the standard or normal hours work at the Hospital concerned are to thirty-seven and one-half (37½) hours and shall appropriately reflect such hours in this article.) Part-time employees shall be entitled to overtime pay at the rate of time and one-half their regular straight time hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of the normal or standard work day or in excess of the normal or standard full-time work week. The length of time over which the hours of work per week are to be averaged shall be determined locally and shall be set out in the Local Provisions Appendix. (c) Where the Hospital and the Union agree, subject to the approval of the Ministry of Labour, other arrangements regarding hours of work may be entered into between parties on a local level with respect to tours beyond the normal or standard work day in accordance with the provisions set out in Article 25.01 of the collective agreement.

  • Shifts In the Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, the Agency may schedule nursing personnel on a rotational shift basis for a temporary period during the opening of new facilities. The Agency shall not schedule any employee to rotate more than two (2) different shifts in any four (4) week scheduling period. Exceptions may be mutually agreed to by the parties. In the other Agencies, shifts shall not be rotated unless mutually agreed to by the parties.

  • Normal Work Week The normal work week shall be thirty-seven and one-half (37 1/2) hours, and the normal daily hours of work shall be seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours, exclusive of a meal period. The normal work week shall be Monday through Friday and the normal workday shall be scheduled between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

  • HOURS OF WORK & OVERTIME Section 15.1 This Article is intended to define the normal hours of work per day or per week in effect at the time of execution of this Agreement. Nothing contained herein shall be construed as preventing the Employer from restructuring the normal workday or workweek as necessary to promote efficiency or improve services, or from establishing the work schedules of employees. However, nothing in this Section shall relieve the Employer of its duty to bargain the affects of such decisions on employee wages, hours, terms and other conditions of employment. This Article shall be used as the basis for computing overtime for employees who are not exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and shall not be construed as a guarantee of hours of work per day or per week. Section 15.2 Employees may take one paid fifteen (15) minute break for every four (4) hour block worked. Employees may combine breaks to take up to one (1) sixty (60) minute paid break. Employees may not leave campus on their paid breaks. Section 15.3 Bargaining unit employees who are not exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act will be paid one and one-half times their normal hourly rate for all hours actually worked in excess of forty (40) hours per work week. All overtime shall have prior supervisory approval, except when it is necessary for a nurse to remain on duty to protect patient safety. Only hours actually worked are counted for the purpose of computing an employee's eligibility for overtime pay. There shall be no pyramiding of hours or pay. Section 15.4 The Board serves individuals 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. To meet this need for service to our individuals evening and weekend hours may be required of any bargaining unit employee. The Employer will establish the standard work day as beginning at 6:00 a.m. and ending at 5:59 a.m. and starting and ending times for each shift in each department. Supervisors will establish daily workschedules. Section 15.5 Absent an emergency situation, management will notify the Union in the event management intends to institute a long-term change in the present shift times for nurses. Following notification and upon request by the Union, management will meet with the Union to discuss the reason for the change and possible alternatives.
