Voluntary Assistance. Unit members may request assistance from the administrator which may include:
A. Written suggestions to aid the unit member in meeting the Standards.
B. Other assistance or support that is agreed upon between the unit member and site administrator.
C. Participation in Peer Assistance Program.
Voluntary Assistance. Employees can request to use vacation, paid sick leave, or medical leave of absence to voluntarily enter inpatient medically supervised rehabilitation facilities. Rehabilitation leave during the course of Substance Abuse Program treatment is subject to reasonable limitations, terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and the City's insurance policy.
Voluntary Assistance a. Employees may request, subject to approval, to use vacation, paid sick leave, or medical leave of absence to voluntarily enter inpatient medically supervised rehabilitation facilities. Rehabilitation leave is subject to reasonable limitation and the employer's insurance policy.
b. The Article will be implemented in a consistent, non-discriminatory manner. Employees are aware of this policy by its inclusion in this Agreement. In addition, bargaining unit employees will be provided information concerning the impact of the use of drugs on job performance. All unit employees will be informed of the causes for testing, how well the tests perform and what tests will be conducted.
c. The employer has established an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for employees.
d. All unit employees must sign an acknowledgment form indicating receipt of this policy. The Union agrees that the inclusion of this policy in this Agreement constitutes acknowledgement by all employees, current and future.
Voluntary Assistance. Employees experiencing problems with drug or alcohol addiction are encouraged to seek assistance on their own. Such assistance is available through the City’s employee assistance program through Wellspring E.A.P. Participation in a voluntary rehabilitation program will be viewed positively. Because the City and the Union encourage voluntary participation in a rehabilitation program, such voluntary participation shall not be grounds for disciplinary action in any form. However, such participation will not relieve the employee of his or her responsibilities to perform assigned duties or meet the provisions of this policy. The City may, however, require standard medical verification of the employee’s ability to safely perform the job duties.

Voluntary Assistance. In specific cases, the competent services of the Parties may, with due respect for their national legislation and without being requested, transmit information to the other Party that is likely to assist it in preventing specific threats to public safety and order, or in tak- ing action to deal with offences. The recipient must verify the usefulness of the data transmitted and destroy or return to the sender any unnecessary data.
Voluntary Assistance. The Customs Authorities shall provide each other, in accordance with their laws and regulations, with assistance that they consider necessary for the correct application of customs legislation, particularly when they obtain information pertaining to: 1. operations which have contravened, contravene or would contravene such legislation and which may be of interest of the other Contracting Party; 2. new means or methods used in committing such operations; 3. goods known to be subject to substantial contravention of customs legislation; 4. enforcement techniques that might be useful in customs control and supervision, including the experiences obtained from the application of those techniques. Article 5 Technical Cooperation The Customs Authorities of the Contracting Parties shall, with their mutual benefits, cooperate with each other in the area of customs matters including: 1. exchange of customs experts for the purpose of enhancing the customs expertise and techniques; 2. exchange of information and experience in the usage of the interdiction and detection equipments; 3. exchange of professional, scientific and technical data relating to customs legislation and procedures; and 4. exchange of information on actions undertaken with third countries in the framework of the Council of Customs Cooperation. Article 6
Voluntary Assistance. Disciplinary action will not be imposed for an employee who volunteers for drug or alcohol testing prior to being identified through other means or who obtains counseling or rehabilitation voluntarily through the Employee Assistance program and thereafter refrains from using illegal drugs or alcohol.
