Licensing body for accountancy professionThe Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) was formed as a statutory board on 1 April 2004, following the merger of the then Registry of Companies and Businesses (RCB), and the Public Accountants’ Board (PAB). ACRA is the national regulator of business entities and public accountants in Singapore. XXXX also plays the role of a facilitator for the development of business entities and the public accountancy profession. As of 31 December 2012, there were a total of 992 public accountants registered with ACRA. The mission of ACRA is to provide a responsive and trusted regulatory environment for businesses and public accountants. ACRA’s role is to develop a responsive and trusted pro- enterprise environment through the following key functions: a. to administer the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority Act (Cap 2A), the Accountants Act (Cap 2), the Business Registration Act (Cap 32), the Companies Act (Cap 50), the Limited Liability Partnerships Act (Cap 163A) and the Limited Partnerships Act 2008 (Act 37 of 2008); b. to report and make recommendations to, and advise the Government on matters relating to the registration and regulation of business entities and public accountants; c. to establish and administer a repository of documents and information relating to business entities and public accountants and to provide access to the public to such documents and information; d. to represent the Government internationally in matters relating to the registration and regulation of business entities and public accountants; e. to promote public awareness about new business structures, compliance requirements, corporate governance practice and any matter under the purview of the Authority; and f. to promote, facilitate and assist in the development of the accountancy sector, including studying, reporting, making recommendations to and advising the Government on all matters relating to the development and promotion of the accountancy sector.

Supervising business financial statements, accounting practices and accounting professional under the Accounting Act B.E. 2543 (2000) and the Accounting Professions Act B.E. 2547 (2004); b. Acting as a secretariat of the Accounting Professions Supervision Commission to supervise the Federation of Accounting Professions under the Accounting Professions Act B.E.2547 (2004); c. Registering and supervising accountants; d. Formulating laws and regulations for accounting professions and practices; e. Cooperating with other accounting professional agencies to develop Thai Accounting Standard; f. Participating in Accounting experts groups at Domestic and International levels to enhance Thai accounting standards and practices; g. Organizing professional seminars and meetings for accountants; h. Promoting good governance practices in SMEs. The FAP has the responsibility in issuing license to Certified Public Accountants and registers all the approved accounting service firms. Under the law, FAP has the following authorities and duties: a. Promoting education, training and research with respect to accounting professions; b. Promoting the unity and the integrity of its members and to arrange welfare and assistance among the members; c. Setting accounting standards, auditing standards and other standards relating to accounting professions; d. Prescribing Code of Accounting Profession Ethics; e. Registering accounting professionals, issuing, suspending or revoking licenses of accounting practitioners; f. Certifying accounting degrees or certificates of educational institutions as credentials in applying for FAP membership; g. Certifying knowledge and expertise in accounting professions; h. Certifying professional training courses and continuing professional education in all areas of accounting professions; and i. Regulating the conduct and practices of members and registrants so that they comply with the Code of Accounting Profession Ethics.

  • Professional Development Fund Article 20

  • Professional Development Funds 23.1.1 Two Professional Development Funds, a Professional Development Support Fund and an Education Leave Fund, shall be established to support professional development activities as defined in 23.2. On April 1st of each year, the College will allocate an amount equal to no less than 0.9% of total faculty salary (exclusive of severance payments) to the Professional Development Support Fund, and an amount equal to no less than 0.6% of total faculty salary to the Educational Leave Fund. Any unused balances in these funds shall carry over to the next budget year. 23.1.2 The College agrees to provide the Association with the authority to administer the program on behalf of the College for those activities approved by the College in accordance with 23.2, 23.4 and 23.5. 23.1.3 Nothing in this Agreement prevents the College from funding professional development activities in addition to those activities supported through the Professional Development Funds (23.1.1) in accordance with the procedures described in this Article.

  • Annual Independent Accountants’ Servicing Report If the Master Servicer has, during the course of any fiscal year, directly serviced any of the Mortgage Loans, then the Master Servicer at its expense shall cause a nationally recognized firm of independent certified public accountants to furnish a statement to the Trustee, the Rating Agencies and the Seller on or before May 31 of each year, commencing on May 31, 2003 to the effect that, with respect to the most recently ended fiscal year, such firm has examined certain records and documents relating to the Master Servicer's performance of its servicing obligations under this Agreement and pooling and servicing and trust agreements in material respects similar to this Agreement and to each other and that, on the basis of such examination conducted substantially in compliance with the audit program for mortgages serviced for Freddie Mac or the Xxxxxxx Single Attestation Program for Mortgage Bankers, such firm is of the opinion that the Master Servicer's activities have been conducted in compliance with this Agreement, or that such examination has disclosed no material items of noncompliance except for (i) such exceptions as such firm believes to be immaterial, (ii) such other exceptions as are set forth in such statement and (iii) such exceptions that the Uniform Single Attestation Program for Mortgage Bankers or the Audit Program for Mortgages Serviced by Freddie Mac requirex xx xx report. Copies of such statements shall be provided to any Certificateholder upon request by the Master Servicer, or by the Trustee at the expense of the Master Servicer if the Master Servicer shall fail to provide such copies. If such report discloses exceptions that are material, the Master Servicer shall advise the Trustee whether such exceptions have been or are susceptible of cure, and will take prompt action to do so.

  • Outside Professional Activities 21.01 Outside professional activities may enhance the reputation of the University and the professional, scholarly and scientific competence of the ASM. ASMs are encouraged to involve themselves with the community outside the University in applying their professional skills and knowledge. This Article applies only to outside professional activities that involve the application of special skills and knowledge within the ASM's particular academic competence. An ASM may engage in such activities subject to the following conditions: (a) Such activities shall not hinder the fulfillment of the ASM’s obligations to the University, including scholarly work, and the undertaking of a fair share of academic administration. (b) Outside professional activities shall not require the commitment of a block of time which might interfere with the ASM’s normal timetable for teaching activities. 21.02 An ASM shall, upon written request, make available to his or her Administrative Head information on the nature and scope of paid outside professional activities. 21.03 When outside professional activities would involve the use of University supplies, facilities, employees, or services, such use shall be subject to the prior written approval of the Administrative Head. The request for approval shall include information on the nature and scope of the outside professional activities for which support is requested. If approval is granted, the charges for such equipment, supplies, facilities, employees or services shall be at the prevailing rates unless the Xxxxxxx & Vice-President (Academic) agrees, in writing, to waive all or part of the charges. When engaging in outside professional activities, the ASM shall ensure that he or she does not represent himself or herself as acting on behalf of the University. The University will assume no liability for any action brought against an ASM as a result of outside professional activities. 21.04 The name of the University shall not be used in any outside professional activity unless agreed, in writing, by the Xxxxxxx & Vice-President (Academic), although nothing shall prevent the ASM from stating the nature and place of his or her employment, rank and title, in connection with outside professional activities, provided that he or she shall not purport to represent the University or speak for it, or to have its approval unless that approval has been given in writing. 21.05 The provisions of this Article shall apply to ASM-CFEs mutatis mutandis.

  • Professional Engineering and Architect’s Services Professional Engineering and Architect’s Services are not permitted to be provided under this Agreement. Texas statutes prohibit the procurement of Professional Engineering and Architect’s Services through a cooperative agreement.

  • Tax Accounting Services (1) Maintain accounting records for the investment portfolio of the Fund to support the tax reporting required for “regulated investment companies” under the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (the “Code”). (2) Maintain tax lot detail for the Fund’s investment portfolio. (3) Calculate taxable gain/loss on security sales using the tax lot relief method designated by the Trust. (4) Provide the necessary financial information to calculate the taxable components of income and capital gains distributions to support tax reporting to the shareholders.

  • PROFESSIONAL COMPENSATION A. The salaries of employees covered by this Agreement are set forth in the appendixes which are attached hereto and incorporated in this Agreement. Each employee shall have the yearly option of receiving his/her salary in one of the following ways: 1. Each employee hired after July 1, 1987, shall receive his/her total salary divided into twenty-four (24) equal payments on the fifth (5th) and twentieth (20th) of each month. If the 20th of the month falls on a holiday or weekend, the payday will be on the first business day immediately following. 2. Employees employed in the District prior to July 1, 1987, may have their total salary divided as stated above or they may choose to have their pay divided into twenty-one (21) equal installments, beginning with the August 20th payroll each contract year. B. Total salary for less than full-time employees shall be paid as indicated in 1 or 2 above, beginning at the date of hire, but the salary shall be adjusted based on the yearly number of work days for employees as set by the school calendar, and then pro-rated on the portion of the year and/or day worked by the individual employee. C. It is understood and agreed that each employee shall elect payment for the subsequent year in accordance with the previous year's selection unless the Business Office is notified in writing of such employee's change in selection on or before August 15. D. Pay deductions will be made only for the following authorized items: 1. Mandatory/voluntary government deductions. 2. IRS Section 125 deductions. 3. Insurance carriers designated by this Agreement or approved by the Employer. 4. Deductions as authorized in other articles of this Agreement. E. The Employer may make direct payroll check deposits to banks, savings and loan associations, and other financial and with which the Employer has a written agreement dealing with payroll deposits. Such direct payroll deposits would be made only upon the written request/approval of the employee. F. The Employer shall reimburse employees for actual costs of college tuition and fees, upon completion of coursework. This reimbursement shall be limited to a total of 6 credit hours or 18 SBCEU’s or 180 SCECH’s or a combination thereof in a five-year period. (3 SBCEU’s = 1 credit hour or 30 SCECH’s = 1 credit hour) Each year of the five year period will be based on the school fiscal year (July 1 to June 30). The rate of reimbursement shall be limited to the actual amount of tuition and fees paid, but shall not exceed the amount charged by Grand Valley State University per graduate credit hour. The Employee will be required to provide proof of payment and proof of successful completion of the course. G. Employees asked to substitute during their planning period will be paid at a rate of $25.00 per planning period. The employee will receive a coupon for an early dismissal or late arrival, or other site based incentives along with the compensation. This coupon may be used at any time so long as it does not interfere with the employee’s normal duties, i.e. staff meetings, IEPC. More than one coupon may be used at the same time with the approval of the Administration. A coupon is attached to this agreement, (see Appendix F). Employees asked to teach additional students for a period shall be eligible for the substitute rate above.

  • Annual Independent Public Accountants' Servicing Report On or before March 1 of each year, commencing in March 2018, the Master Servicer, the Special Servicer, the Certificate Administrator, the Custodian, the Operating Advisor and, if it has made (or is required to make) an Advance during the applicable calendar year, the Trustee, each at its own expense, shall cause (and each of the preceding parties, as applicable, (i) with respect to any Servicing Function Participant of such party that is a Mortgage Loan Seller Sub-Servicer, shall use commercially reasonable efforts to cause such Servicing Function Participant to cause, and (ii) with respect to any other Servicing Function Participant of such party (other than any party to this Agreement), shall cause such Servicing Function Participant to cause) a registered public accounting firm (which may also render other services to the Master Servicer, the Special Servicer, the Certificate Administrator, the Custodian, the Trustee, the Operating Advisor or the applicable Servicing Function Participant, as the case may be) and that is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants to furnish a report (together with a copy thereof in XXXXX-Compatible Format, or in such other format as otherwise agreed upon by the Depositor, the Certificate Administrator, the applicable Other Depositor, the applicable Other Exchange Act Reporting Party and the applicable party required to furnish, or cause to be furnished, such report under this Section 10.10) to the Certificate Administrator, the Serviced Companion Loan Holders (or, in the case of a Serviced Companion Loan that is part of an Other Securitization Trust, the applicable Other Depositor and Other Exchange Act Reporting Party), the Operating Advisor (only in the case of a report furnished on behalf of the Special Servicer) and the Depositor, and, prior to the occurrence and continuance of a Consultation Termination Event, the Controlling Class Representative and, for posting to the Rule 17g-5 Information Provider’s Website pursuant to Section 12.13 of this Agreement, the Rule 17g-5 Information Provider, to the effect that (i) it has obtained a representation regarding certain matters from the management of such Reporting Servicer, which includes an assertion that such Reporting Servicer has complied with the Relevant Servicing Criteria and (ii) on the basis of an examination conducted by such firm in accordance with standards for attestation engagements issued or adopted by the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, it is expressing an opinion as to whether such Reporting Servicer’s compliance with the Relevant Servicing Criteria was fairly stated in all material respects, or it is not expressing an overall opinion regarding such Reporting Servicer’s assessment of compliance with the Relevant Servicing Criteria. In the event that an overall opinion cannot be expressed, such registered public accounting firm shall state in such report why it was unable to express such an opinion. Each such related accountant’s attestation report shall be made in accordance with Rules 1-02(a)(3) and 2-02(g) of Regulation S-X under the Act and the Exchange Act. Such report must be available for general use and not contain restricted use language. Copies of such statement will be provided to any Certificateholder, upon the written request thereof, by the Certificate Administrator. Promptly after receipt of such report from the Master Servicer, the Special Servicer, the Certificate Administrator, the Custodian, the Trustee (if applicable), the Operating Advisor or any Servicing Function Participant, (i) the Depositor and each Other Depositor may review the report and, if applicable, consult with the Master Servicer, the Special Servicer, the Certificate Administrator, the Custodian, the Trustee (if applicable) or the Operating Advisor as to the nature of any defaults by the Master Servicer, the Special Servicer, the Certificate Administrator, the Custodian, the Trustee (if applicable), the Operating Advisor or any Servicing Function Participant with which it has entered into a servicing relationship with respect to the Mortgage Loans or the Companion Loans, as the case may be, in the fulfillment of any of the Master Servicer’s, the Special Servicer’s, the Certificate Administrator’s, the Custodian’s, the Trustee’s (if applicable), the Operating Advisor’s or the applicable Servicing Function Participants’ obligations hereunder or under the applicable sub servicing or primary servicing agreement, and (ii) the Certificate Administrator shall confirm that each accountants’ attestation report submitted pursuant to this Section relates to an assessment of compliance meeting the requirements of Section 10.09 of this Agreement and notify the Depositor of any exceptions.
