Living Away From Home Allowance. A.6.1 For the purpose of this clause, a distant project is one where the location of the on- site project work is such that because of its distance or because of the travelling facilities available to and from the location it is reasonably necessary for an employee to live and sleep at some place other than his/her usual place of residence. A.6.2 Where the enterprise sends an employee to work at a distant project, the employee may elect to: A.6.2.1 have a single room with ensuite in a well kept establishment with two adequate meals each day provided by the enterprise and $30.00 per day for out of pocket expenses; or A.6.2.2 be paid an allowance of $130.00 per day (paid for any part of the day) from the enterprise. A.6.3 Where an employee is requested to work at a distant project where reasonable board and lodging is not available or where the size of the workforce is in excess of the available accommodation, alternative arrangements will be made with the consent of the employee and the employee representative. A.6.4 At the time of engagement, the employee will provide, on the enterprise’s request, details of his/her usual place of residence, being:
