Lower Wage Rates. When the College temporarily assigns an employee to the duties and responsibilities of a position in a payband with a lower rate range or maximum salary where there is no work reasonably available for him/her in the position from which he/she was assigned, he/she shall be paid the lower applicable wage rate to which he/she was assigned after the expiration of ten (10) consecutive working days in such lower payband. When the College temporarily assigns an employee to the duties and responsibilities of a position in a payband with a lower rate range or maximum salary where there is work reasonably available for him/her in that position from which he/she was assigned, he/she shall continue to be paid at the rate applicable to the position from which he/she was assigned.

When the College temporarily assigns an employee to the duties and responsibilities of a position in a classification with a lower rate range or maximum salary where there is work reasonably available for in that position from which was assigned, shall continue to be paid at the rate applicable to the classification from which was assigned. Excluded Positions When a Collegetemporarily assigns an employee to the duties and responsibilities of a position excluded from the provisions of this Collective Agreement, the employee's obligationsto contributeto the regular monthly Uniondues underArticle and seniority shall continue during the period of such temporary assignment up to a maximum period of eight (8)calendar months unless extended by agreement of the Local Union and the College.
