WAGE RATES AND CLASSIFICATIONS. 7.1 The Employer agrees to assign work in accordance with Article 1, Coverage and Definitions, and pay the applicable wage rates as contained in the Appendices attached to and forming part of this Agreement.
WAGE RATES AND CLASSIFICATIONS. 24.01 The wage grids and classifications for permanent full-time and permanent part-time employees are attached hereto as Wage Schedules A, B, C, D and E and form part of this Collective Agreement. 24.02 Placement of a permanent full-time or permanent part-time employee on the appropriate wage grid at the time of hire is solely within the discretion of the Employer. 24.03 A permanent full-time employee will progress from one step to the next step on the appropriate wage grid after each 12 months of active employment in the employee’s current classification or in any classification to which the employee is subsequently temporarily transferred until the employee reaches the maximum step on the appropriate grid. 24.04 A permanent part-time employee will progress from one step to the next step on the appropriate wage grid after each 1820 hours worked in the employee’s current classification or in any classification to which the employee is subsequently temporarily transferred until the employee reaches the maximum step on the appropriate wage grid. 24.05 Casual employees will be paid in accordance with Wage Schedule E attached hereto and forming part of this Collective Agreement. 24.06 The Employer shall have the sole discretion to determine the appropriate rate of pay for contract employees, provided that a contract employee will be paid at a rate on the appropriate wage grid for the job classification for which the contract employee is hired. A contract employee shall progress from one step to the next step on the appropriate wage grid after each 12 months of active employment in the contract position. 24.07 A sponsored employee shall be paid in accordance with the terms of the sponsorship agreement. 24.08 The Employer shall pay employees by direct deposit bi-weekly in accordance with the wage grids set out in Wage Schedules A, B, C, D and E attached hereto and forming part of this Collective Agreement.
WAGE RATES AND CLASSIFICATIONS. 30.01 Attached to this Agreement and forming an integral part thereof shall be a Schedule “A” setting forth wage rates and classifications. 30.02 Employees shall be paid on the basis of a two-week pay period for work performed up to midnight on the second Saturday preceding pay day, including pay for any overtime hours worked in that pay period. 30.03 When an employee reports an error in their pay cheque, the Employer will investigate and where the error is verified, if requested, issue a separate cheque as soon as possible and within two (2) working days if the error is in the amount of $25.00 or more. 30.04 Full-time and part-time employees shall be permitted to direct payment of their cheque in up to two (2) accounts in the banking facility of their choice. Authorization in writing including employee name, bank facility, account numbers and deposit amount shall be submitted to the Payroll Department two (2) weeks prior to the payroll deposit date.
WAGE RATES AND CLASSIFICATIONS. 4.01 Attached hereto, marked Appendix "A", is a schedule of wage rates and job classifications. (a) When employees are temporarily assigned to a job of a higher classification than their regular job they shall be paid the rate for the full shift for such job when on it for two (2) or more hours. (b) Such assignments will be made from employees qualified to perform the duties of the particular job under normal supervision by moving up the personnel of the shift into successive higher classifications from the classification immediately below the vacancy to be filled. (c) This clause will not apply when a trainee is filling a higher position for the purposes of training in accordance with the Operator Progression Program. (d) Employees temporarily filling positions of a lower classification will not have their pay reduced. (e) The upgrade rate shall be paid for Company-recognized holidays falling on days of rest which are preceded and followed by hours worked in the higher classification. 4.03 Employees assigned to a lower classification at their own request shall be reclassified and paid at the rate established for such lower classification. (a) If a new classification is established which is not covered by the schedule of wages then in effect, the rate for such new classification shall be opened for negotiation between the Company and the Union within thirty (30) days. The Company may place into effect a temporary rate of pay pending negotiations of the rate to be established, and once the rate is established, it shall be made retroactive. (b) In the event the Union and Company are unable to agree on the appropriate rate for the new classification, the dispute shall be referred to step 4 under Clause 12.02 hereof, within thirty (30) days, to determine what classification and rate is appropriate for the work to be performed. Failure to agree or the reference to arbitration shall in no event preclude or delay the Company from placing the equipment in operation as above provided. (c) Any major expansion of plant equipment hereafter put into operation, which is to be operated by employees covered by the Agreement, shall be staffed and put into operation by using such classification(s) shown on Appendices "A" and "B" as the Company considers appropriate. Such staffing shall be accomplished by selecting an employee(s) from the appropriate classification(s). WAGE RATES AND CLASSIFICATIONS. (a) Wage rates shall be as shown in Schedule "A" attached to and part of this Agreement. (b) Should new classifications be required that do not obviously fit into the attached Schedule of Classifications, the Union and the Employer shall immediately sit down and negotiate a satisfactory name and wage rate for such new classification. The agreed rate will become part of this Agreement.
WAGE RATES AND CLASSIFICATIONS. Each employee who works during the period beginning 12:01 a.m., August 1, 2007, and ending 12:00 midnight, July 31, 2010, in one of the classifications shown on Exhibit "B" attached hereto, shall be paid for his work in that classification in accordance with the applicable wage rate, shift differential, and clothing allowance in accordance with Exhibit "B". Notwithstanding any other provision of this Agreement to the contrary, the question of wages to be paid shall not be construed to include any allowance which results in an increase in the compensation of an employee or of employees.
WAGE RATES AND CLASSIFICATIONS. 18.01 The Employer will pay the salary and wages to employees as provided under this Agreement. Truck Drivers will be guaranteed forty (40) hours per scheduled work week in accordance with the rates in Appendix “A”. 18.02 Job titles and wage rates covered by this Agreement shall be as set out in Appendix “A”. The Employer shall not introduce new methods of paying employees without prior negotiations and agreement with the Union. 18.03 The Employer has the right to establish new classifications or positions during the term of this Agreement. The terms and conditions of these new classifications or positions shall be subject to negotiation between the parties. When agreement is reached, a supplementary Agreement shall be executed between the Employer and the Union and shall form a part of this Agreement. 18.04 An employee who may be required to temporarily fill a position covered by this Agreement paying a lower wage rate shall not have his/her wage rate reduced. 18.05 An employee assigned to temporarily fill a position for one (1) day or more paying a higher rate shall be paid the bottom rate for that position or five ($5.00) dollars a day, whichever is greater. 18.06 If a manager is away for one (1) day or more, an employee will be assigned to fill in for the manager and will receive an additional fifteen ($15.00) dollars per day for each day that the assignment continues.
