Near Relative. For purposes of clauses 6.5 and 6.6, "near relative" shall be defined as the spouse of the teacher and the grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children and grandchildren (and their respective spouses) of the teacher and of the teacher's spouse and other persons at the discretion of the superintendent or designate.
Near Relative. Parent, spouse, sibling, child, son-in-law, daughter- in-law, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, brother-in-law, and sister- in-law.
Near Relative. In the event of the death of a “near relative”, all Administrators and Directors will be paid for the absence on the full day necessary to attend the funeral. The term “near relative” shall include a First Cousin, Aunt, Uncle, Xxxxxx, Niece, Brother-in-Law, Sister-in-Law, Cousin-in-law, Aunt-in-law, Uncle-in- law, Niece-in-law, Nephew-in-law, and Grandparent-in-law.
Near Relative. Whenever an employee is absent from work because of a death of a near relative, there shall be no deduction in salary of said employee for an absence not to exceed three (3) consecutive work days including the day of the funeral. Near relative shall be defined as first cousin, grandfather, grandmother, grandchild, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, or sister-in-law.
Near Relative. An employee shall be entitled to three (3) school days of leave of absence with pay because of the death of a near relative of such employee. An employee desiring such leave shall request the same through the Superintendent or his designee. Such leave of absence shall include the day of the funeral of the near relative. The term “near relative” is defined to include the employee’s grandparent, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, parent-in- law, son-in-law or daughter-in-law.
Near Relative. Absences due to the death of a near relative in the employee’s family shall be allowed for a period of up to two (2) days. Near relative is defined as nephew, niece, aunt, uncle, cousin, grandparent-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, son-in-law, and daughter-in-law. For the purposes of this provision, the term “in-law” extends to domestic partnerships consistent with the above provision.
Near Relative. In the case of a near relative, there shall be no deduction in salary for absence on the day of the funeral. Up to two (2) additional days may be granted for the death of a near relative where the traveling distance exceeds a one hundred fifty (150) mile radius. A near relative shall be defined as first cousin, grandfather, grandmother, aunt, uncle, xxxxx, nephew, step-grandparent, xxxx-xxxxxxxxxx, brother-in-law or sister-in-law.
Near Relative. An Employee absent from duty because of the death of grandchild, grandparent, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law or sister-in-law of said Employee shall be entitled to up to three (3) school days' leave with pay.
Near Relative. An allowance of one (1) day leave without pay deduction will be allowed for death of near relative.
Near Relative. An employee shall be entitled to bereavement leave at the time of the death of a near relative for purposes of attending the funeral. There shall be no deduction from salary or personal days of the employee for an absence of one (1) day, including the day of the funeral. A near relative shall be defined as: first cousin, aunt or uncle, niece or nephew, brother-in-law or sister-in-law.
