Newly Hired Unit Members. Employees scheduled to be assigned to full-time assignments who are new hires to the District may volunteer to attend a District sponsored in-service which may be scheduled prior to the opening of school at the Administration Center or other sites identified by the District.

Newly Hired Unit Members. Newly hired unit members who must report for in-service and duty days prior to the start of the regular contract year shall receive a stipend equal to the substitute rate of pay for each day of this extra duty service. This stipend shall be paid by the August 30 pay date in a separate check.
Newly Hired Unit Members. 1. The District shall provide CSEA notice of any newly hired employee in the bargaining unit, within seven (7) days of date of hire, including the employee’s full name, date of hire, job title, FTE value (for example, 1.0. 0.75, etc.), pay rate, work site locations(s), work phone number, work email address, home address and phone number. CSEA will maintain the privacy of this information.
Newly Hired Unit Members. A. Newly hired unit members shall serve a probationary period of twelve (12) months from successful completion of the new hire orientation program. The termination of a probationary unit member shall not be subject of a grievance or appeal under the Merit System Policies and Procedures or this agreement.
Newly Hired Unit Members. Who are Granted Experience Credits Unit members other than registered and licensed practical nurses, hired by the District with public school teaching experience on or after July 1, 2001 will be granted 1 year of credit for each year of the first ten years of such service. Further, such unit members will be granted one year of service for every two years of public school experience beyond the tenth year of such service. The total years to be granted will not exceed 20. The Superintendent may, at his/her sole discretion and without setting precedent, exceed these limits in cases where there is difficulty finding qualified applicants. The MACSFA President shall be informed whenever the Superintendent exercises such discretion. Credit may also be given for Honorable Military Service (not to exceed two (2) years credit) and related vocational experience (not to exceed five (5) years credit). Whether any, or what amount, credit shall be given for prior military and related vocational experience shall be determined by the Superintendent within his discretion. However, if such experience credit is granted in writing by the Superintendent, the unit member shall retain the experience credit granted for the remainder of the unit member’s employment in the District for longevity pay purposes. Present unit members who are now receiving such experience credit shall continue to receive such credit. Article 8 (continued)
