Probationary Unit Member Clause Samples
The Probationary Unit Member clause defines the status and conditions applicable to employees who are newly hired or have not yet completed a specified initial period of employment. Typically, this clause outlines the duration of the probationary period, the evaluation criteria, and the rights or limitations of probationary members, such as limited access to certain benefits or protections. Probationary Unit Member. A new unit member who is appointed for a trial period of six (6) months.
Probationary Unit Member. Probationary unit member refers to any full-time unit member who has not yet achieved permanent status with FKSP. As defined in paragraph 2.7.1, the first and in some cases second year of full-time employment with FKSP is the Probationary period.

17 b. A final official summative evaluation for probationary unit members shall 18 be completed by May 1.

A probationary unit member who is assigned to a school or District 20 department after the beginning of school and who is recommended for 21 reemployment must be evaluated twice, if possible, under the time 22 schedule that is required by law and this Agreement. If two (2) 23 evaluations are not possible, one must be completed if the unit member 24 has been in the assignment for forty-five (45) calendar days prior to the 25 last day of any school year.
26 d. The District agrees that any probationary teacher dismissed during his/her 27 first two (2) school years will be in accordance with the provisions of 28 Education Code Section 44948.3. 29
Probationary Unit Member a newly-hired classified unit member who is serving the prescribed one (1) year probationary period.

11 C. The unit member shall be notified in writing of any change in 12 evaluators; however, all evaluators shall have knowledge of the 13 employee’s job description and duties.
14 D. Probationary unit members shall be evaluated at least two (2) 15 times during their initial probationary period, which is one 16 hundred thirty (130) days of paid service.
17 E. The initial evaluation shall be conducted on or about the forty-fifth 18 (45th) day of paid service of the probationary period.
19 F. The second evaluation shall be conducted on or about the one 20 hundred tenth (110th) day of paid service of the probationary 21 period.
