Normal Work Week and Overtime Compensation. The normal work week shall be Monday through Friday. The normal work week for all employees hired after June 30, 2005 shall be Monday through Sunday. The work week shall be consecutive days worked or approved holidays [e.g. five (5) days]. In any pay period overtime, at the rate of time and one half (1 1/2) will be paid for all work in excess of forty (40) hours per week or the employee may choose to accrue compensatory time at straight time. The employee must indicate in the time sheet for the period of which overtime is worked, whether the employee chooses to be paid for the overtime or accrue compensatory time. Once the choice is made by the employee in the timesheet the decision can not be changed. The compensatory hours will be used at a mutually agreeable time between the supervisor and employee, only when a substitute is not needed. Compensatory time accrues on an annual basis only starting July 1st of each contract year and must be cashed out at time and one-half (1 1/2) for all unused accrued compensatory time by June 30th of each contract year. All work must be completed as per assignment, including overtime.

Department management will establish the work week and hours of work best suited to meet the needs of the Department and provide superior service to the community.   • Normal Work Year The normal work year for the Administrator shall be Two Hundred Sixty (260) days between July 1 and June 30 annually which will include all student attendance days and teacher work days. The Administrator shall not be entitled to any additional paid days unless specifically required to work beyond the Two Hundred Sixty (260) day contract by the Superintendent or the Board.

  • Work Period; Overtime Pay The work period for overtime computation purposes shall be a seven (7) day period, as defined by the Employer. Nurses working this twelve (12) hour shift schedule shall be paid overtime compensation at the rate of one and one-half (1 1/2) times the regular rate of pay for the first two (2) hours after the end of the twelve (12) hour shift or for any hours worked beyond forty (40) hours in a seven (7) day period. If a nurse works more than two (2) consecutive hours beyond the end of the twelve (12) hour shift, all overtime hours after fourteen (14) consecutive hours of work for that shift shall be paid at double time (2x).

  • Eligibility for Overtime Compensation (a) Overtime compensation rates for all hours worked in excess of the workday and workweek identified below shall be as follows:

  • Shift Differential Compensation Any employee in the bargaining unit whose assigned work shift commences (for unit-1) prior to 5:30 a.m. or whose work shift ends after 5:30 p.m., or (for unit-2 members) commences after 2:00 p.m. shall be paid a shift differential premium of five (5%) percent above the regular rate of pay for all hours worked.
