Notice of Layoff or Recall. Notice of layoff or recall shall be by personal service or registered mail to the last known address of the employee(s) on the records of the Employer. (a) In the event of a layoff of a full-time or part-time employee, the Employer shall pay its share of the Employee benefit plans under Article 23.01, excluding Long Term Disability (LTD), for the month in which the layoff takes place and for the following three (3) months. (b) The full-time or part-time employee may continue to pay the full premium costs of the employee benefit plan under Article 23.01, excluding Long Term Disability (LTD), for a further three (3) months. Such payment to be made to the Employer, provided that the employee informs the Employer of his/her intent to do so at the time of the lay off and arranges with the Employer the appropriate schedule.
