Notice to Union and Employees. Prior to any proposed lay-off(s) of employees, the Authority shall notify both the Union and the employees sixty (60) calendar days in advance of the proposed date for lay-off. The Authority will provide thirty (30) calendar days’ notice to the Union and the employee for proposed lay-offs of contract funded positions (such as the CDBG, S+C, BMR, XXXX and FSS programs). The Authority will have the option of providing the employee either sixty (60) calendar days’ notice or fourteen (14) calendar days’ notice and provide pay for the remaining days of required notice.

The OPBA shall direct the Employees to return to work immediately and advise Employees if they do not return to work immediately that such violation shall be automatic and sufficient grounds for immediate disciplinary action, including lawful discharge.
Notice to Union and Employees i) In the event of a proposed layoff reduction of services, restructuring, or any other initiative that would impact the job security of a bargaining unit member, the Employer shall provide the union with no less than sixty (60) days written notice. The Employer shall meet with the Union within five (5) working days of the written notice at which time the Employer shall disclose to the Union plans for reductions to services, layoffs; restructuring; or any other initiative that would impact the job security of bargaining unit members. In the event of hospitalization, withdrawal of services, death of a person supported thirty (30) days notice will be provided to the Union and the Employee.

  • ’ Compensation and Employer’s Liability The policy is required only if Contractor has employees. The policy must include workers’ compensation to meet minimum requirements of the California Labor Code, and it must provide coverage for employer’s liability bodily injury at minimum limits of $1,000,000 per accident or disease.
