Common use of Notification of Absence Clause in Contracts

Notification of Absence. (a) An employee who is going to be absent from work will ensure that his/her Trustholder is informed of the reasons for and expected duration of the absence prior to the start of his/her shift. (b) A Trustholder will designate a person to be contacted in the event that an employee is unable to contact his/her Trustholder. (c) Should an employee fail to comply with clause 4.05 (a), his/her absence may be considered as unauthorized leave without pay unless s/he can demonstrate legitimate reasons for the non-compliance.

(c) Should an employee fail to comply with clause 4.05 (a4.04(a), his/her absence may be considered as unauthorized leave without pay unless s/he can demonstrate legitimate reasons for the non-compliance.

(c) Should an employee fail to comply with clause 4.05 9.05 (a), as the case may be, his/her absence may be considered as unauthorized leave without pay unless s/he can demonstrate had legitimate reasons for the non-compliance. (c) The Director of Operations will designate a person to be personally contacted in the event s/he cannot be reached.

(c) Should an employee fail to comply with clause 4.05 9.04 (a), his/her their absence may be considered as unauthorized leave without pay unless s/he they can demonstrate legitimate reasons for the non-compliance.
