On-Duty Education. Employees may request and receive approval for minimum increments of one (1) hour of uninterrupted time, on-duty to review instrument manuals and complete Employer required continuing education modules, hospital assigned training, CAP competencies, and related required education.
On-Duty Education. Employees may, with prior written approval of the General Manager, attend seminars, conferences, workshops, cross-training activities or meetings that provide specific training in subjects directly related to District operations or to the employee’s position (or one to which he or she may reasonably aspire). In those circumstances, the District shall pay for the cost of the seminars, conferences, etc., provide transportation or reimburse the employee for mileage (at the discretion of the General Manager) and the employee shall receive pay for their time including reasonable travel time. In order to be reimbursed for meals while attended training off District property, the employee must submit a receipt and the District will reimburse the employee up to IRS per diem rates.
On-Duty Education. The City agrees to permit all personnel, including probationary 478 firefighters, to participate in professional education. The City further agrees that 479 attendance at education courses attended to satisfy City, County, State and Federal 480 requirements shall be deemed on-duty time and the City shall pay for registration and 481 fees as well as mileage, meals, and lodging to attend classes.

  • Union Education If the local union indicates to the Hospital that its members have approved a special assessment for union education in accordance with the CUPE constitution and local union by laws, the Hospital agrees to deduct this assessment. Such assessment will be paid on a quarterly basis into a trust fund established and administered by OCHU/CUPE for this purpose.

  • Continuing Education The Hospital and the Union recognize that continuing education is important for all employees and that they have shared interests and responsibilities in ensuring equitable access to it.

  • In-Service Education The parties recognize the value of in-service both to the employee and the Employer and shall encourage employees to participate in in-service. All employees scheduled by the Employer to attend in-service seminars shall receive regular wages.

  • Special Education Special education services, related services, and accommodations for students who are eligible under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), or any applicable provisions of state law, shall be provided in accordance with applicable state and federal law, this Agreement and Authorizer rules and policies. The Authorizer is the LEA for purposes of ensuring compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and all other federal and state laws and regulations concerning accommodation of and education of students with disabilities.

  • Board of Education If the teacher or the Association is not satisfied with the decision at Stage 2, the teacher or the Grievance Committee will file an appeal in writing with the Board of Education within fifteen school days after receiving the decision at Stage 2.

  • General Education University Program Requirements All MTA applicable courses require a grade “C” or higher

  • Higher education expenses Payments taken for certain qualified higher education expenses for you, your spouse, or the children or grandchildren of you or your spouse, will not be subject to the 10 percent early distribution penalty tax.

  • Paid Education Leave The Company agrees to pay into a special fund, one (1¢) cent per hour per employee for all compensated hours for the purpose of providing paid education leave. Such leave will be for upgrading the employee skills in all aspects of trade union functions.   • Special Education Teachers Elementary/Secondary Special Education Coordinators shall be compensated for an extended work day in the amount of four thousand dollars ($4,000).

  • Outreach and Education The agencies agree to coordinate, conduct joint outreach presentations, and prepare and distribute publications, when appropriate, for the regulated community of common concern. • The agencies agree to work with each other to provide a side-by-side comparison of laws with overlapping provisions and jurisdiction. • The agencies agree to provide a hyperlink on each agency’s website linking users directly to the outreach materials in areas of mutual jurisdiction and concern. • The agencies agree to jointly disseminate outreach materials to the regulated community, when appropriate. • All materials bearing the DOL or DOL/WHD name, logo, or seal must be approved in advance by DOL. • All materials bearing the OEAS name, logo, or seal must be approved in advance by OEAS.
