Optional Deductions. Any employee shall be entitled, upon request, to have any of the following deducted from wages: university sponsored health insurance, life insurance, campus approved credit unions, tax sheltered annuities, and dues to the bargaining agent. Other deductions may be made with approval of the designated campus representative.

Optional Deductions. The Board shall deduct, in addition to deductions previously stated in the Agreement, the following optional deductions upon the written request of any professional employee. Deductions for each of those listed will be made only if sufficient funds are available in the teacher's check. Deductions shall be priorities in the following order, the last being deleted from the deduction schedule first if funds are insufficient.
Optional Deductions. The Board agrees to deduct from the paycheck of all bargaining unit employees covered by this Agreement, voluntary contributions to Democrat, Republican, Independent Voter Education (DRIVE), Political Action Committee. Each bargaining unit employee volunteering for DRIVE will complete a deduction form with the dollar amount to be deducted from each paycheck, which will be furnished to the Board. The Board shall transmit to DRIVE National headquarters on a monthly basis, in one check, the total amount deducted, the name and social security number of the bargaining unit employee and the amount deducted from the bargaining unit employee’s paycheck.

  • PROFESSIONAL DUES OR FEES AND PAYROLL DEDUCTIONS 5.1 Any unit member who is a member of the Association, or who has applied for membership, may sign and deliver to the District an assignment authorizing deduction of unified membership dues, initiation fees, and general assessments of the Association. Pursuant to such authorization, the District shall deduct one-tenth of such dues from the regular salary check of the bargaining unit member each month for ten (10) months.
