Common use of Overtime Hours Clause in Contracts

Overtime Hours. for Employees Working a 7(k) Schedule: The following will constitute overtime for employees working a 7(k) schedule: (a) All hours worked beyond the employee’s regularly scheduled shift; and (b) All hours worked beyond the maximum straight-time hours permitted under Section 7(k) of the Fair Labor Standards Act for law enforcement employees working a work period of the length established by the University pursuant to this Article. (c) Employees who are assigned by the University to appear in court or work at special events outside of their regularly scheduled hours of work, will receive a minimum of four (4) hours of overtime pay for such assignments.
