Overtime - Time Off Instead of Payment 15. 2.1 Time Off Instead of Overtime Payment By mutual agreement between Australia Post and an individual employee, time off during ordinary working hours is allowed instead of payment for overtime under this Agreement. Such agreement is to be made in writing. 15.2.2 Amount of Time Off (a) Time off instead of payment for overtime is based on the number of ordinary hours equivalent to the appropriate overtime rates for the hours worked. (b) By mutual agreement between Australia Post and the individual employee, the employee may be paid at ordinary rates for the time worked and take time off equivalent to the rate of the residual penalty payment. 15.2.3 Timing of Time Off (a) Time off instead of payment for overtime is to be granted and taken as agreed between Australia Post and the employee and within agreed time frames. (b) Where it is not practicable for time off to be granted or taken within the agreed time frame, the employee is to be paid for the overtime worked at the prescribed rate of payment. 15.2.4 Eligibility Time off instead of payment for overtime only applies to employees who are eligible to receive overtime payments in accordance with 15.1. 15.3

  • Time Off in Lieu of Payment for Overtime An employee may elect, with the consent of the Company, to take time off in lieu of payment of overtime at a time or times agreed with the Company. Overtime taken as time off during ordinary time hours will be taken at the ordinary time rate, that is an hour for each hour worked.

  • Paid Time Off (PTO) Executive shall earn and accrue paid-time-off covering vacation and sick time benefits at the rate of twenty (20) days per year for employment periods of up to five years of service. The PTO accrual rate shall automatically increase by five (5) additional days for each additional 5 years of service up to maximum of thirty (30) days per year after 10 years of service. For example, after five years of service, the annual PTO accrual rate shall increase to twenty-five (25) days. Unused PTO shall carry over to the next year, but Executive shall cease accruing further PTO at any time Executive has accrued two times his annual accrual rate. Unused PTO days which are not in excess of two-times the annual accrual rate shall be paid in a cash lump sum payment promptly after Executive’s termination of employment.

  • Period of Payment 12.10.1 Accident pay does not apply in respect of any injury during the first 5 normal workings days of incapacity.

  • Deductions from Sick Leave A deduction shall be made from accumulated sick leave of all normal working days (exclusive of holidays) absent for sick leave.

  • Sick Leave Payment Any employee, at his/her option may choose to receive payment for sick leave earned during the year which is unused at the end of the year. Any such payment must be for the total number of unused sick leave hours earned during the year, must be based on the hourly rate of pay of the employee multiplied by 50 percent, and all hours for which payment is received must be deducted from the employee’s accumulated leave balance. Sick leave used during a current year will be charged against the most recently earned sick leave. Hourly rate of pay is the hourly rate at the end of the contract year.

  • Callback from Vacation (a) Employees who have commenced their annual vacation shall not be called back to work, except in cases of extreme emergency.

  • Sick Leave Transfer An employee may transfer their earned sick leave to a spouse, sister, brother, parent, child or any designated person employed by the District under the provisions of. Board Policy 3430.03—Sick Leave (c) (3) (4) and related procedures.
