Sick Leave Payment. (a) The District shall for all Regular Full-time and Regular Part-time employees who have completed three (3) months continuous employment, subject to the conditions as set forth herein:

Sick Leave Payment. Any employee, at his/her option may choose to receive payment for sick leave earned during the year which is unused at the end of the year. Any such payment must be for the total number of unused sick leave hours earned during the year, must be based on the hourly rate of pay of the employee multiplied by 50 percent, and all hours for which payment is received must be deducted from the employee’s accumulated leave balance. Sick leave used during a current year will be charged against the most recently earned sick leave. Hourly rate of pay is the hourly rate at the end of the contract year.
Sick Leave Payment. Sick leave credits may only be used for illness (subject to 20.01) or in accordance with the Wellness Incentive Plan Letter of Agreement. In the event that an employee's absence exceeds their accumulated sick credits, the employee may borrow up to a maximum of ten (10) days against future earned sick leave provided that a qualified medical practitioner certifies that the employee is seriously ill, that the nature of the illness is specified, and that the employee's request for leave is submitted in writing. The borrowed leave entitlement shall be limited to the amount of benefits that the employee would otherwise be entitled to under the Employment Insurance Act. In the event that an employee's absence exceeds this amount, the employee will be placed on leave of absence without pay for the duration of the illness or twelve (12) months whichever occurs first. After twelve (12) months and within ninety (90) days thereof the employee may request his/her name to be placed on the Recall List. Where the leave is expected to exceed six (6) months, the Union will agree to an appointment as per Article 3.07 (Leave Replacement Employee).
Sick Leave Payment. The following Sick Leave Payment Schedule will be applied for all bargaining unit employees. Years of service for this section shall be determined by the bargaining unit employee’s current hire date combining BSO time with any Contract City time, and any time in the DROP Plan (excluding any break in service). “
Sick Leave Payment. 15.01 The Corporation's sick pay plan for regular employees was created by the Corporation to reduce the financial hardship that bona fide illness can create so far as inability to work and the consequent loss of normal wages are concerned.

Sick Leave Payment. Employees of the unit who retire under the provisions of the N.Y.S. Employees Retirement System shall be paid for unused sick leave under the following formula: Days Accumulated at Retirement x Rate Maximum Available Days 0-80 $0 $0 Days 81-110 $35.00 per day $1,050.00 Days 111-150 $40.00 per day $1,600.00 Days 151-180 $45.00 per day $1,350.00 Days 181-210 $45.00 per day $1,350.00 The total amount to be paid shall not exceed $5,350.00.
Sick Leave Payment. Sick days will be paid to eligible employees at seventy-five (75%) of the employees regular hourly base rate times eight (8) hours or one-fifth (1/5th) of an employees weekly earnings.
Sick Leave Payment. Employees shall be eligible for paid sick leave in accordance with state and federal law. FMLA/CFRA: An Employee on FMLA/CFRA qualifying leave may be required to use any accumulated sick leave, floating holidays or compensatory leave before taking unpaid leave. Employees shall not be required to use more than half of their accrued vacation time, however, or be required to draw down vacation time in such a way that it would interfere with vacation time already bid and scheduled. Employees who would otherwise qualify for short term disability while on FMLA/CFRA leave will not qualify for that disability until all of the employee’s sick leave is exhausted. Employees shall receive sick leave with pay up to the amount of sick leave accrued at the time of illness, provided the requirements of this are met. Employees shall accrue sick leave credits during the probationary period; however, they shall not be eligible for sick leave pay until ninety (90) calendar days after their date of hire.
