Paid Leave Allowance and Uses. 1. Teachers shall be allowed eleven (11) days of absence each year without loss of salary for the purposes set forth in section 2, below. Teachers terminating/retiring prior to the conclusion of the school year shall have the eleven (11) days prorated according to the number of days worked. At the end of each school year, any unused portion of these days shall be accumulated to a total of one hundred eighty-five (185) school days, including the current year’s credit, for use during subsequent years for the purposes set forth below. However, an unlimited number of these days may be accumulated for the sole purpose of obtaining credit towards retirement, if allowed under Michigan law. The Board shall furnish each teacher with a written statement at the beginning of each school year setting forth his/her paid leave credit. In case of extended illness, paid leave shall be suspended on the day the teacher becomes eligible for disability insurance. Any remaining paid leave days will be held in the teacher’s account for his/her return.

  • Overtime Meal Allowances (a) An Employee who is required to work a minimum of two and one-half (2½) hours overtime before or after his/her scheduled hours of work, shall be provided with a meal or shall be reimbursed nine dollars ($9.00). A meal break of one-half (½) hour with pay shall be given at the overtime rate. This section shall not apply to an Employee who is on travel status which entitles him/her to claim for lodging and/or meals.

  • Overtime Meal Allowance ‌ An employee who works two and one-half hours of overtime immediately before or following his/her scheduled hours of work shall receive a meal allowance of seven dollars. One-half hour with pay shall be allowed the employee in order that he/she may take a meal break either at or adjacent to his/her place of work.

  • Uniform Maintenance Allowance 22.1 The City provides uniforms or uniform allowance for employees represented by the Association. The City will continue to replace, repair and maintain uniforms worn in the line of duty. The average cost of the uniforms/uniform allowances are reported as special compensation (for those employees defined as “classic employees” by the Public Employees’ Pension Reform Act of 2013 for retirement calculation purposes and is currently reported as $17 per pay period.

  • Maternity Leave Allowance (a) An employee who qualifies for maternity leave pursuant to Clause 26.01, shall be paid a maternity leave allowance in accordance with the Supplemental Unemployment Benefit (SUB) Plan, as set out in Letter of Understanding #1. In order to receive this allowance, the employee must provide to the Employer proof that the employee has applied for and is eligible to receive employment insurance benefits pursuant to the Employment Insurance Act. An employee disentitled or disqualified from receiving employment insurance benefits is not eligible for maternity leave allowance.

  • Uniform Allowance Where uniforms are required, the Hospital shall either supply and launder uniforms or provide a uniform allowance of per year in a lump sum payment in the first pay period of November of each year.

  • Shoe Allowance The Employer will provide reimbursement to full time employees who have completed probation and who are employed in the kitchen and stewarding departments, once per year in the amount of $60.00 and once every two years in the amount of $60.00 for maintenance and banquet housepersons. The amount shall increase to $75, effective January 1, 2007. Employees will receive said amount as long as the shoes are approved by the employer and as long as the shoes are worn on the job. Payment will be made on or about July 1 upon presentation of proof of purchase.

  • Mileage Allowance The state agrees to seek continued funding to provide for the payment of a mileage allowance for the use of privately owned vehicles for official travel at the rate provided in section 112.061(7)(d)1., F.S.

  • Service Allowance (a) All full-time employees (previously employed under the Charitable Aged and Disability Care Services (State) Award), appointed prior to 1 June, 1980, shall after 10 years' continuous service with the employer, be paid in addition to the rates prescribed in Schedule B - Pay, Other Rates and Allowances of this Agreement, a service allowance in the following manner: For 10 years of service but less than 15 years 5% For 15 years of service but less than 20 years 7½% For 20 years of service and over 10%.
