Leave Credit. Credit for leave of absence for illness or injury need not be accrued prior to taking such leave by the unit member and such leave may be taken at any time during his/her assigned work year. Probationary unit members of the District shall not be eligible to take more than six (6) days, or the proportionate amount to which they may be eligible under this article, until the first day of the calendar month after completion of six (6) months of active service with the District. A unit member who terminates employment prior to earning sick leave taken in advance of accrual, shall have the appropriate amount deducted from his/her final check.
Leave Credit. During the Employment, and in addition to the Company observed and posted holidays (normally 10 per year), Employee shall accrue paid leave at a rate of 1.66 days per month (equaling a total of 20 days per year); provided, however, that any such leave time, if not used, will be subject to the Company's limitations on the maximum accrual; and, provided further, that Employee shall use his best efforts to coordinate with the Chief Executive Officer of the Company the dates upon which Employee shall use his aforesaid leave time so as to minimize the negative impact upon the Company occasioned by Employee's absence.
Leave Credit. Information as to all his/her accumulated leave balances (sick leave, annual leave and compensatory time) will be given to each employee in writing at least once a year prior to the end of the school year.
Leave Credit. A teacher who returns from unpaid leave as allowed in this Agreement shall retain experience credits for pay purposes and other benefits which the teacher has accrued at the time the teacher went on leave. No credit shall accrue for the period of time that a teacher was on leave.
Leave Credit. (A) Teachers shall accumulate unlimited sick leave at the rate of 11 days per year.
(B) Any teacher who is absent because of an injury or disease compensatable under the Michigan Worker's Compensation Act shall receive from the Board the prorated difference between the allowance under the Act and his regular salary for the duration of the illness or through the balance of the school year, whichever occurs first, with sick leave subtracted on a prorated basis.
(C) Any teacher with less than two years experience in the district who has exhausted his/her cumulative sick leave credit may borrow up to ten (10) days of additional sick leave. Such advance shall be deducted from the final pay check for the year unless a contract for the following year has been signed.
(D) Any teacher with two or more years of employment in the district who has exhausted his/her cumulative sick leave, may be given up to two (2) days from each teacher who has accumulated more than thirty (30) days. It is understood that sick days will be given on a strictly voluntary basis. Association Representatives may circulate a sick day request throughout the district on behalf of the bargaining unit member whose sick days are or will be exhausted as verified by the Business Office according to Association policy and guidelines. The bargaining unit member may receive only as many days as are needed to complete the contract year, sick leave period, or L.T.D. wait period.
Leave Credit. During the Employment, and in addition to the company ------------ observed and posted holidays of 10 per year, Employee shall accrue paid leave at a rate of 25 days per annum; provided, however, that any such leave time, if not used, will be subject to SM&A's limitations on carrying forward unused leave time; and, provided further, that Employee shall use his best efforts to coordinate with the President and COO of SM&A the dates upon which Employee shall use his aforesaid vacation so as to minimize the negative impact upon SM&A occasioned by Employee's absence.
Leave Credit. A. 1. With the exception of bus drivers, all personnel shall accumulate sick leave credit at the rate of one (1) hour per twenty (20) hours worked for the first year of employment. After the first year of employment, sick leave will be given at the beginning of each year at the rate stated above, the unused portion of which shall accumulate from year to year without limitation.
Leave Credit. Each Professional Employee shall receive one (1) day of leave credit for each month he is in active full-time employment, not to exceed a total of ten (10) days per school year. Leave shall be accrued beginning with one (1) day in August and one (1) day each month thereafter through May to make up the ten (10) day total. The BOE considers each Professional Employee to have ten (10) days sick leave at the beginning of the school year. If the Professional Employee terminates during the year, he must reimburse the BOE for the number of days of sick leave used in excess of those accrued. Unused days of leave credit will be allowed to accumulate to no more than one hundred and thirty (130) days by the end of any school year. A Professional Employee who has the maximum one hundred thirty (130) days accrued will in effect have a maximum of one hundred and forty (140) days usable in that given year. All approved leave shall have one (1) day of leave credit deducted from the Professional Employee’s accumulated leave total for each day of leave used. Professional Employees will receive their regular pay when leave is approved under the above conditions. Absences shall be charged at a minimum of 1 hour.
a. Applicable to Professional Employees employed after July 1, 2010, “Any unused accumulated leave above one hundred and thirty (130) days will be paid at the end of any school year, in June, at the rate of $50.00 per day.”
Leave Credit. Employees will receive eighty-five (85) working days leave credit per year, to be renewed January of each year except in cases where an employee's current illness extends into the new year results in a term disability claim. In such cases, the sick bank shall not be replenished.
