Per Diem Positions. Nurses laid off pursuant to the above procedure shall have the option to be transferred to a per diem status for the unit from which they were laid off in accordance with Section 6.4.3.1.

Per Diems A flat rate of fifty dollars ($50.00) per day shall be paid for each day worked. Ground persons and VC Tech I and II will be eligible for twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per day. An employee must work four (4) hours, or until noon whichever is later, or more to be entitled to subsistence for the day. The Company shall pay for reasonable lodging for all classifications when working more than 100 miles from their yard with no more than two people per room and one person per bed. On an emergency, declared by the Customer, the Employer shall provide meals and lodging to employees after sixteen (16) hours worked.
Per Diem Nurses 550. If per diem nurses are required to move from one City location to another during normal working hours, they shall have access to Municipal Railway passes as necessary.
Per Diem Nurse A nurse in a nursing position who does not qualify as a classified staff nurse. Employment will conform to the rules on temporary employment. Per diem nurses are temporary employees not covered by the terms of this labor agreement. The Association will be provided with quarterly reports on the use of per diem nurses used by unit and number of hours for the period covered by the report.
WORK CLOTHES The employer shall provide all necessary work clothes (coveralls, work shoes or equivalent, and insulated coveralls, winter coveralls and rain gear as needed), as well as safety equipment, including personal safety gear. Work clothes and safety gear provided by the company are the property of the company. When a new set of work clothes is provided, the worn set shall be handed in. Used safety equipment as mentioned above shall be properly cleaned before being reissued.
Per Diem 5.4.1. Per diem is paid when the tasks to be performed by an Expert, as stated in the Terms of Reference (Annex 2), are performed more than fifty (50) kilometres away from the Expert’s normal place of work.
Work Week The work week will begin at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and end at 11:59 p.m. the following Saturday.
Longevity Stipend One (1) Renton Technical College longevity stipend in the amount of six hundred dollars ($600) will be paid annually in July to each qualifying employee who has ten (10) or more year’s seniority on July 5th.
WORKING DUES 6.1 The hourly working dues shall be calculated at two percent (2%) of the Principal Operator hourly wage rate and shall be deducted from each employee covered by this Agreement for each hour for which wages are payable. Safety Shoe Allowance For each unit member required by the City to wear safety shoes, the City shall provide a voucher from the City-designated department for up to one hundred and fifty dollars ($150) annually toward the cost of acquiring one pair of safety shoes through the City vendor.
WORK CLOTHING 1. The State shall continue to furnish foul weather gear and work clothing, such as aprons, smocks, shop coats, lab coats, coveralls and boots to employees furnished such clothing in the past. The State shall be responsible for continuing to provide laundering of work clothing where such service is being provided as of the effective date of this Agreement.
