Permanent Morning Shift. Subject to the operational requirements of the business, the Company has the capacity to introduce a permanent morning shift. If introduced, the permanent morning shift will involve a start time between the hours of 2.00am and 5.00am and employees will be rostered for 8 hours with a half an hour unpaid break. Time will be paid at the rate of 150% based on the employee’s ordinary rate of pay for any hours worked between 2.00am and 5.00am and then revert to ordinary time thereafter. If the Company in its absolute discretion concludes that given the operational requirements of the business, either the permanent night shift, the permanent afternoon shift or the permanent morning shift (if introduced) cannot be sustained, the Company can terminate any permanent shift on the giving of one month’s notice to the employees engaged on either the permanent night shift, permanent afternoon shift or permanent morning shift.

  • SERS PICK-UP A. For purposes of this Article, total annual salary and salary per pay period for each member shall be the salary otherwise payable under this Agreement, as amended. The total annual salary and salary per pay period of each member shall be payable by the Board in two parts: (1) deferred salary and (2) cash salary. A member’s deferred salary shall be equal to that percentage of said member’s total annual salary or salary per pay period which is required from time to time by the State Employment Retirement System (“SERS”) to be paid as an employee contribution by said member and shall be paid by the Board to SERS on behalf of said member as a “pickup” of the SERS employee contribution otherwise payable by said member.
