Personal Necessity/Family Matter Leave a. Up to six (6) days of accumulated sick leave in any school year may be used in cases of personal necessity/family matter in accordance with the provisions of Section 87784 and 87781.5 of the Education Code. This section is intended to provide leave for those situations that are not covered in other sections or which cannot be accomplished any other time other than during regular work hours. It is not intended for recreational use.

  • Personal Necessity Leave 13.2.1 A maximum of seven (7) days of sick leave may be used by an employee in any school year for personal necessity, for the following purposes:

  • Personal Necessity 1.1 Unit members may use a maximum of seven (7) days of accumulated sick leave for personal necessity. Personal Necessity Leave shall be limited to circumstances that are serious in nature and that the employee cannot reasonably be expected to disregard, that necessitate immediate attention and cannot be taken care of after work hours or on weekends.

  • Family Medical Leave or Critical Illness Leave a) Family Medical Leave or Critical Illness leaves granted to a permanent Teacher or long-term Occasional Teacher under this Article shall be in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Standards Act, 2000, as amended.

  • PRIVATE BUSINESS/GENERAL/PERSONAL LEAVES OF ABSENCE 12.1 Teachers shall be allowed personal leave up to and including five (5) days in any one school year with the loss of substitutes’ pay only, and shall be deducted full salary for days absent for personal reasons in excess of five

  • Personal Medical Leave 1. Accrued 100% sick leave may be used at the employee's discretion. Such leave may be taken before or after the vacation described in No. 3 below.

  • Personal Leave With Pay With prior notification, full-time employees who are eligible to accrue sick leave may use a maximum of six (6) days personal leave with pay per year, provided that such days shall be charged against the employee’s current accrued sick leave. Any such leave exceeding one (1) semester shall not be counted toward tenure or promotion or for computing salary increments.   • Personal/Carer’s Leave a) Personal/carer’s leave is defined in accordance with Section 244 of the Act and includes paid sick leave (accrued under the AFPCS) and paid or unpaid carer’s leave (accrued under the AFPCS). Casual employees shall have no entitlement to paid personal/carer’s leave.
